06.24.19 >> start of summer quarter

hello hello! long time no update. today marks the first day of summer quarter and with that, the beginning of my digital content management (DCM) courses for my new degree! starting with database systems. it’s really weird to think about it but i’ve already made one for work without realizing. 

i’m also thrilled to be spending this summer at the beach (aside from a week i’ll be home for my kitten’s spay surgery). my plants and i are thriving~

JULY 12, 2018 / a big life update!!!!! i’ve started my new program in graphic design and i’m thoroughly enjoying myself - feels like (a really hectic, fast-paced) art camp!! here are some snippets made for my Drawing class. these are my pointilism & handlettering assignments :~)

A new and improved moleskine notebook that I’ll use as a planner/agenda for school - it’s all stuff that I already had at home, my dad uses moleskines for work stuff but only ‘professional coloured’ ones so he gave me this one, washi tape is from ikea I got it a while ago for presents, and I’ve got no clue where that lace stuff is from it was in my mom’s basket of sewing stuff and I stitched it onto the elastic of the notebook

hello studyblr community!

Hello, I’m Kat! I’m 17, a junior, and a resident of Oregon, USA! This is actually my second studyblr, but I decided to make a new one because my old one was a side blog. I’ve always loved the idea of the studyblr community, and I’ve wanted to be one of those people with the beautiful notes and the adorable school supplies, and that’s what I’m hoping to achieve! I was especially inspired by blogs like @castillos-co , @stardewstudy , @studyign , and @stillstudies , because they all look so beautiful and inspire me to be productive.

I’m going into medicine, specifically becoming a general practitioner, or maybe a neurologist? One of the two!

I love animals, and I’m a vegetarian!

One of my resolutions over the summer is to try and live a low waste life

I can speak English, Arabic, and Spanish, but I’m not perfect and I would still love to improve!

I used to run a really popular instagram about alternative bands in middle school, and it’s so embarrassing to look at now

my textbook is very excited for me to become a librarian.

so far grad school is a lot of reading. just. so much reading. the first day of class isn’t here yet and already there is oodles of reading. fortunately, i’m having fun and learning loads!
