studied Roman law and criminal law, now I'm happily drinking coffee and watching youtube videos 😌
june 2018 monthly spread. slow progress is still progress.
A new and improved moleskine notebook that I’ll use as a planner/agenda for school - it’s all stuff that I already had at home, my dad uses moleskines for work stuff but only ‘professional coloured’ ones so he gave me this one, washi tape is from ikea I got it a while ago for presents, and I’ve got no clue where that lace stuff is from it was in my mom’s basket of sewing stuff and I stitched it onto the elastic of the notebook
1/28 February Challenge
I’ve decided to join in on @wilstudies February challenge! The link to the challenge post is here.
3 GOALS SET FOR THIS MONTH:
1. Read Anna Karenina
This book has been sat on my shelf for far too long without having been read. I’m trying to make more of an effort to make time to read for pleasure this year, and this is the book I’ve chosen to read next.
2. Make sure I check my planner regularly
I have a nasty habit of putting all my necessary dates into my planner and then not revisiting it often enough to know what other things might be coming up. I need to be utilising it to the max.
3. Nail my college interview
I’m mostly just really excited about the interview and the prospect of studying theatre, but there’s a niggling fear in my mind that it’ll all go wrong somehow. I’ve got to prep for any questions they might ask and calm my nerves about it!
I’m going to try my best to keep up with the challenge daily, but if I miss a day or two be sure to tell me off! I’m looking forward to seeing what other people post as part of this challenge.
New studyblr!!
Hey, I actually had a studyblr last year but I decided to star over and deleted it. I know that my methods didn’t work (mostly for my lack of discipline and personal stuff I had to deal with) but I’m willing to give it another try without committing myself to what I can’t do. It is okay to not push yourself too much, you’ll only get frustrated if you do so. This year I’m gonna focus on creativity, inspiration, happiness, and passion I see at the studyblr tag.
So let’s get to the intro:
My name is Daniela, I’m bissexual and 18
My birthday is April 15th, so I’m an Aries
I study International Relations or IR (in portuguese, Relações Internacionais)
FYI: I’m Brazilian and study at Rio de Janeiro – that means I’m latina but not hispanic
I can speak portuguese, english, spanish and a little bit of french (currently on A1.2)
This is my second year in college, and my classes begin March 5th
I do some voluntary work with diplomatic simulations @ college and high school 1 2
I’m really into sci-fi, so if you are too let’s talk!
Possibly a future environmentalist, considering minoring in Environmental Management
Currently using a Moleskine weekly planner, the bullet journal stuff is clearly not for me
I really love Netflix and I’m a tv show whore
My favorite book is “Fahrenheit 451”
I gotta read more for fun, damn
Maybe I’ll post langblr stuff, mostly french
I’m such a Slytherin
The songs I like the most are probably either wlw songs (mostly Hayley Kiyoko) or sertanejo feminino (PLEASE do yourself a favor and listen to Marília Mendonça, Simone e Simaria and Maiara e Maraisa)
The last time I tried the studyblr lifestyle I was mainly interested in a e s t h e t i c, so this time I’m showing my messy side as well!
This studyblr is a feminist and lgbt+ safe place, I always answer your asks and try to reply to the posts
The classes I’m taking this semester are:
Methodology I
Contemporary Theories in International Relations I
Theoretical Fundamental in International Relations I
Introduction to Economics II
International Terrorism
Architecture and Power in International Relations
Introduction to Interseccional Methods
International Relations Seminars
Studyblrs I really like: @emmastudies @melisastudies @eintsein @stillstudies @thecoffeedesk @studytherin @studyblr @studypolitics @estudares @studylilium @sttudinati @study-inspirati0n
(Also this is a sideblog and my main tumblr is @dandaniscrazy, that’s where I follow you guys)
junior year classes
hey y’all! i have not been very active on here at all :( it’s hard to keep up with things outside of school and my other extracurricular activities.
my school year ends in less than a month which is exciting! i’m looking forward to next year already. i’m hoping to get a job this summer to save up some money and i am going to be volunteering a ton as usual! my bigger plans for the next year include quitting my tennis team to focus on politics (which is due to a mix of lack of time for the things i really care about and lack of money to finance a sport run by someone who uses it to profit off of the kids shhhhhh), being an organizing member of a TEDxYouth conference, and possibly starting a club in my town.
anyway... that was a long intro to what i’m actually posting about which is my 2019-20 class schedule! while this is not yet finalized at all, and is subject to change, i wanted to send it out to see if anyone has advice!
- u.s. history (not apush, i had my school’s apush teacher for ap world this year and am not going through that again)
- honors psychology (this was originally going to be honors anatomy and physiology, until all my friends realized that the teacher who runs the course is the same one we had for honors chem and is retiring in a year. she’s a great person but the way she runs her class is too high stress. i’ve heard great things about psych!)
- ap statistics (out of non ap maths to take wish me luck plssssss)
- ap environmental science (so pumped for this bc i’m secretly a crunchy tree hugger)
- ap english 11 (is this one lang and comp i don’t remember? anyway i love english)
- honors latin iii (might be a yikes? might be good? my teacher told us latin iii is not as crazy high maintenance as latin ii so i’m hoping for the best)
- racquet sports— ???? (i might be quitting tennis but i still want to play it sometimes, it sounded like a fun no stress class. also i have no clue whatsoever what i’m gonna take next semester. considering film literature bc it sounds interesting and i love the teacher who teaches it? maybe sociology but i don’t know much about that class at my school)
- study hall (bc you gotta be on that grind)
if you guys have any tips, tricks, or warnings please feel free to send me a message!
(also if you guys have questions about ap world history or ap bio or latin or french or like any standard freshman or sophomore classes at allllll please send me an ask bc even if i didn’t take them i definitely know someone who did)
good luck in your studies!
