Banana King would still treat her like she's his granddaughter despite his troubled relationship with Marie. (I see him as a guy who always wanted a big family but couldn't due to his career as a sailor 🥲)
Mort would treat her nicely enough even though he sort of thinks she's an affront to nature (he's a man of science, and so her being a lamb but having human parents doesn't make sense in his brain)
She and Starson would actually get along well. (Starson is more of a drama-causer in the RPs than he actually is in my interp.) If Milo and Sariah leave him to babysit, he'd take her shopping and stuff. (He would be such a good girl dad)
Spencer, unlike Mort, wouldn't be that weirded out by her existence, but would make their interactions awkward because she'd keep asking rude/invasive questions and suggesting that she do experiments on Odette
Miranda wouldn't care for her much/see her as an annoyance

He comes from a relatively affluent family, either rich merchants or low-ranking nobles. He was able to get a good education because of it. His favorite subject in grammar school was astronomy, and he pursued it in his higher education.
He knew well that the richer and more affluent you are, the more opportunities you have. This was especially true in his case, because like, back in the day, only important people were allowed access to the GOOD books on astronomy (and science in general), since they were so rare. His goal was to become, like, the court astronomer, or some high-ranking member of academia. So status and climbing the social ladder were really important to him.
He dresses and acts like a fop because he thinks it makes him seem higher class than he actually is, but to the trained eye, he actually looks kind of cheap.
He acts like a socialite, but if you spend enough time around him, you'd realize he acts like his only knowledge of social interraction comes from melodramatic novels. He's just kind of odd and overbearing.
Had a stint once where he would try to court high-class women, hoping he'd be able to marry into higher status. (This didn't work.) (What Have I Done to Dsserve This by Pet Shop Boys is the theme song for this stage in his life.)
He's actually more of an introvert than he lets on. He socializes to network and build rapport with people, but he doesn't really enjoy it much. He feels somehow different from everyone, and prefers to be holed up in his room studying astronomy more than anything. It's like he feels as though he fits better among the stars than he does on Earth.
The Jolly Hounds were probably the first friends he ever made.
Something happened that led his family to lose their money and status (scandal?), so he ended up joining the NPHC out of desperation. He was not suited for it or interested in it at all, but he was desperate to continue his education and needed to fund it somehow.
On that note, he was really bad at combat and also following orders in general (he's stubborn), and so he ended up wandering off and getting stuck on the Jolly Hounds' ship during a skirmish, which is how he ended up as part of the crew.
He's self-important, pretentious, and difficult to please. As he spends time with the crew, his mindset shifts from "I'm better than these people" to "I love and respect these people even though I'm better than them."
He's also bold and opinionated and not afraid to speak his mind. He often butts heads with the crew about what to do, especially Milo.
His wig was stolen from some navymen while pirating.
He loves jewelry. Milo has threatened to throw his collection overboard because it weighs down the ship.
He calls everyone stuff like "darling," including men, and has gotten beaten up for it before.
He suprisingly acts like an out-of-touch millenial despite only being 19. Bubba could show him skibidi brainrot or whatever the equivalent is in Candle Cove and he'd think it's rubbish.
He's seen as the baby of the crew, but no one would say this to his face. He ACTS unflappably confident, but is oftentimes whiny and miserable about whatever and needs their comfort and advice.
He and Bubba are a duo. Like they're foils. Fancy clothes + casual clothes. Guy who acts like a know-it-all but has poor social skills + guy who seems like a simpleton but actually has good street smarts.

I'm in the process of figuring out Banana King. He's fun to draw. (I gave him spots like a banana ðŸ¤). I keep forgetting/deliberately not including his beard because it looks kind of goofy tbh, but he is supposed to be goofy, so idk. Also an attempt at designing my version of the Banana People.

I wanted to develop the PANI islanders a bit because the wiki did them dirty and I think they have unused potential. I was going to give them all wicker basket-esque masks, but I thought it would be more interesting if they each came up with different ways to cover their faces.
Starson! Figuring out a way someone could feasibly shape their hair into a star and have it look like a (somewhat) normal hairstyle was a long but rewarding experience. I have no idea why he wants to look like this.
It's Caroline Barker! I was really proud of myself for being able to capture a likeness (before giving up on the hair), but this is pretty old and I think I could do better now.
