This morning, I went to work with my gym bag packed and ready to go for my first SoulCycle class in a long time. “Never miss a Monday!” Sadly, I have missed many Monday’s. I hadn’t slept well the previous night and I really didn’t have any desire to go to a sweaty classroom full of people, so I convinced myself to go home and skip it - WHICH IS COMPLETELY OKAY. (Listen to your body and your needs, always!) Once I was home, I regretted not going to class like I had planned. I felt like I’d deprived my body of something it wanted. So I slipped into my gym clothes and then toiled with the decision to workout or not. I wasn’t going to force myself into anything, but I could tell it’s what I wanted. I read some of my book, watched 3 episodes of Bones, and then had dinner with the fam. Finally, I got my big butt on the treadmill and made that ass SWEAT! I feel so much better because of that me-time.
