i had been collecting these for about a month until my grandma told me her and my grandpa (rip i miss you 💔🥀) used to collect all the state quarters. she kindly gave it to me and said i shouldn’t feel bad for taking them because it’s like a family heirloom now. i am forever greatful for my grandma and i love her so much

I just think they’re neat! I almost have all 50 state and territory coins :D

Day sixteen

There were five quarters Desmond kept in his wallet that he never spent, and no one knew the reason why he kept them. Finally, one day it was Ezio who asked him

"Fortello, what's with the unspent coins in your wallet?"

"Oh these?"

Desmond asked pulling his wallet out to fish out the quarters. He laid them out on the table before him and said

"Your smart Ezio, and good at solving puzzles. Look at them at try to tell me the reason."

His brother-in-law furrowed his brow looking at the five quarters. The first was unremarkable, bearing the year 1987 on the head of the coin. Though the other four caught his attention with the tail. There were two South Dakota coins and two New York coins. One bore the location of a historical event, the British surrender in 1777. The other was the state coin, he'd seen the state coins, Pertiucco collected all one hundred of them, both mints. The second South Dakota coin was Mount Rushmore. Ezio set the two sets together and looked at the 1987 coin again. Then it clicked.

The coins told a story, Desmond's story. He was born in 1987, in South Dakota then he moved to New York. It's why he had these coins in specific. Ezio looked at him and said

"These coins tell your story Desmond."

"Exactly, as well as provide me the way to tell it. As kids we did visit Mount Rushmore and it's how we learned to parkour, and Saratoga National Historical Park is actually in Conner's memories so it has extra meaning to me."

So to explain this story, I have five quarters in my wallet of the same significance. Though 1995, Massachusetts and Michigan. So it would go, Born 1995 in Massachusetts and moved to Michigan. Though I have been to the Pictured Rocks in Munising.
