James Bond x Derry Girls incorrect quotes
(M stands for Michael)
Take what you want from me, I have nothing left to lose Pull back the world from me, I wanted something blue -1977 by Olly Alexander (Years & Years)
Tiago is a variation of the more formal-sounding Santiago means “May God protect” or “saintly,” and references James, the patron saint of Spain

Scavenger hunt #63: Meet up with another member of Bond fandom! Take a pic to commemorate the moment.
Yesterday, @samanthahirr and I hung out, did Fest stuff, and made a delicious dinner of bread and a chicken and rice dish.

In our quest for bingo blackout, we were tossing around some ideas and a word was heard wrong, wordplay followed, and hilarity ensued. Please enjoy these linked poems. (Titles links to Ao3.)
A Most Unusual Post-Mission Review
by @kitten-kin
Where you wrote down circumcision should it have been circumstance? 'cause I don't see why you'd do that, Bond, except through happenstance.
Oh, your shoe slipped in a knife fight in a scented oils boutique? And you only meant to lightly maim Giannopoulos the Greek?
It says here that you sheared away a valuable limb, and horrified the henchmen so they all abandoned him?
It's certainly unorthodox; a deed I'd not command. But I have to say it did the job when the villain you unmanned.
Appropriate Language
by @myndelling
I know you’re young, 009 But last time I looked The standards for writing an AAR Are more formal than, “we’re cooked.”
The language of His Majesty Is not one to mistreat There are options far more civilized To say “throw” in place of “yeet.”
The target in your honeypot Is never called your “bae.” And regardless of the mission’s success Please don’t write “I slay.”
Your services we wish to keep But your wrist we now must slap: Your words aren’t just a waste of space They’re low-key cringe, no cap.
Zounds!
by @eleanor-is-fine
The satellite confirmed it - This unprecedented fact: The plaza and the embassy Entirely intact.
And what is this? An earpiece? Not waterlogged or bent Or fried or crushed or pulverized - We could send it out again!
Oh look, a tiny radio Still pristine, in its case. A watch - unscratched and ticking - With blue and gleaming face.
Wait. What? That grin, that impish smirk, What mischief has been done? Oh my, dear Bond, I must sit down - You’ve brought it back: your gun.
Welcome, to The World
After retiring from MI6, James Bond decides to open a bar to keep himself occupied.
The place to have the best cocktails in London and the World! Where ingredients are sourced from all our regional stations…over the world
The menu? Well, Bond cycles through several specials, and keeps coming up with new recipes based on the tall tales and mission stories you might get out of him near closing time.
Here's some of his current offerings.
Because he walked around thanks to a strange eye, we give you: The Big Brother Martini
2.5oz gin
0.5oz dry vermouth
0.5oz cocktail onion brine
Combine ingredients in a chilled shaker with ice. Shake, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Thread an olive slice onto a pick and then spear a cocktail onion to make the "eyeball" garnish.
And for the women we love to hate: The Femme Fatale, On Top
1 1/2 ounces mezcal
1/2 ounce Campari
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
1 ounce grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
Garnish: grapefruit twist
*Please note that hepatic functions are greatly reduced when ingesting grapefruit and that it can cause some harsh allergic reactions, it can seem like a lightweight, but it’s treasonous!
Q-Branch boffins want you to be the only one to be able to access this marvel, less of a blunt generic cocktail, more of a… Personal Statement
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce fruit or spiced liqueur
1 ounce fruit juice A
1 ounce citrus juice B with matching garnish
A cosmopolitan, with a twist! The recipe can be customized with your choice of fruit liqueurs and juices. Choose from an existing customer-made menu or create your own. Sweet, spiced, sour, or savory; it’s up to you!
Based on the owner's recent trip to the Sea of Japan, The Poison Garden
2 ounces of rose liquor (sourced from station Istanbul)
5 ounces of orgeat sirup (yes, we know we're all suspicious about the taste of bitter almond)
1 ounce of matcha
Dried roses on top
And finally, refined by the best of the best of Medical brains specially for agents in general and double-0 in particular, let’s introduce the smart way to end the night… The Solace
- A perfect way to end the night. Can be pre-ordered at any time.
1 bottle spring water
1 stir-in packet of electrolytes (choice of lemon, berry mix)
1 packet of acetaminophen
1 dose of Alizapride
1 packet crisps (choice of salt & vinegar, cheese & onion)
1 pack biscuits (choice of vanilla, chocolate)
This was so much fun, @kitten-kin & @celandinebergerac!
Let's do it again some time.
What's this? A post?
To my surprise, it's suddenly July, and the beginning of 007 Fest. I know I've been "gone" from the fandom a long time... but not really. I've been lurking on the fringes of the fandom and hoping to spot some of my old favourites writing new fics or posting new art. It's been quiet. And I've been so busy and distracted by real life. I've never been so tired before for such a long time. But now life is getting easier and the Fest couldn't have come at a better time, so I decided to sign up. So, Hello, station Phoenix! I'm one of your team this year. I'm not much for the roleplay so I'll just skip that part this time for various reasons. But I do intend to get back to writing and reading and commenting, my goal will be to dust off my WIP's (or at least London Burns) but also to do at least one (1) extra thing per week - not necessarily a new fanwork but something to keep up with the general flow of the Fest activities. I really hope the Fest will revive the Bond/ 00q fandom and people start interacting again. Frankly, part of why I've lost interest in the past was the feeling of talking into the void. I know we are all busy and tired, but fandom is all about sharing, and feedback is the elixir of life. Happy Fest, everyone! I'm glad to be back and looking forward to what all of you will be creating! EDIT / I did a THING! This counts for one weekly goal, doesn't it? I'm going to attach it to this first post, because these were intended to be on the character intro posts, right? I don't have a character aside from my regular fandom alias so here it is, anyway.
