16.30 Warm Bodies: Part Two (Part One)
BOULTON: You okay?
STANTON: No.
BOULTON: It’s just delayed shock; all the adrenaline’s gone out of your system. And you failed to do what most police officers do in that situation.
STANTON: What’s that?
BOULTON: They replace it with alcohol.
STANTON: Does it work?
BOULTON: Er, no, it just makes everything go a bit blurred.
BOULTON: Claire, whoever did this to you, I’m going to find them and I’m going to put them away. I promise you that.
I love how this is John’s go-to regardless of the situation.
STANTON: Please, John, I really really want you to go.
BOULTON: You sure about that?
STANTON: This is out of order, John.
BOULTON: What d’you mean?
STANTON: You coming on to me like this when you know I’m in shock.
BOULTON: That’s not fair. I’m just responding to what I see.
STANTON: No, what you think you see.
BOULTON: No!
STANTON: Yes! Trust me, John, yes.
BOULTON: This is a lot more than just being mates, isn’t it? Isn’t it? I really like you. A lot. And I… I don’t know, but I think you’ve got the same kind of feelings for me. Maybe not as much, but… Tell me I’m wrong.
STANTON: You’re not wrong, but that’s not it.
BOULTON: So what is it, then? What? Are you seeing someone else?
STANTON: *nods*
BOULTON: I… I did think that, you know, that might, um… It’s just that I didn’t see any, er… I’d better go, then.
STANTON: Yeah.
Sometimes I feel like TB was getting money from the London tourist board with their random sightseeing location choices. The London Eye, now? Really? And after Don was threatening to throw someone over the side of Tower Bridge a few episodes earlier.
BOULTON: Claire, this is just emotional stuff. It’s not important.
