Thank you for tagging me, @skyler10fic!  It’s been a while, so let’s do this...

last song: "The Funeral” by Band of Horses (I have heard it in the background of a Hallmark Mysteries commercial a couple times, and it’s stopped me in my tracks every time because I KNEW the song from years ago, but couldn’t remember the title or band, and it was driving me CRAZY. I was so excited when I finally figured it out that I tweeted my success lol. (Note: if anyone is like, “whaa, fleur is on twitter?”, see my pinned post for info.))

last movie: the Emma adaptation that came out last year (I have Thoughts, if anyone wants to chat!)

currently reading: Two real books!!! #fleurreadsrealbooks2021 is off to a good start!  A Lady’s Guide to Mischief and Mayhem, a historical mystery-romance, and Forever Your Earl, a historical romance-romance, that I heard about when @paigenotblank shared a tweet with me wherein the author described her leading men as “cinnamon rolls who know how to fuck” and, well... *shrug emoji* (Note: if anyone wants to find me on goodreads, let me know.)

currently watching: Two new shows, hooray!!! Season 2 of ADOW and Masterpiece Theatre’s Miss Scarlet and the Duke. I’ve also been catching up on the past two seasons of Endeavour, which I got behind on. (Not entirely because I knew that Endeavour would have that terrible moustache in s6...but not not entirely because of it...HA)  I’m also slowly rewatching Murdoch Mysteries and Murder She Wrote.

currently working on: knitting a shawl for a friend and finishing my thank you notes from Christmas (oops).

currently playing: I’ve been doing some online puzzles, which are pretty cool.

Twitter is the WORST place I swear. I keep trying to use it but every time I go on there it’s just full of such angry people constantly complaining. Some celebrity is being “canceled” nearly every night for one stupid past comment or something out of context. The upcoming election is making everybody extra crazy too. Nobody can do anything right on Twitter. Somebody will always be there to twist your words into something hateful.

And as my inbox right now showed me, if you dont jump into hating someone right away without having full picture, your words also get twisted and you are suddenly a bad guy. And while original anon sent me a message saying it was not them and i do believe that, that will not stop other anons who want to start a drama. Have to disappoint you guys, over the years i received lots of shit in my inbox, i am not answering any of it 🤷‍♀️ If you wanna have a conversation - have it as a normal human being.

Just saw you talking about Intruders, and I just might have recently started watching it for Simm purposes. 😉

THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you’ll like it. :D  It’s really good, despite them making Simm use an American accent.  Ahh....memories of the old days when @mercwithamouth and I were watching it and I teased her that someday they’d make DT use an American accent in something....AND THEN GRACEPOINT HAPPENED!!!  (That was a trend for a while...why did they DO that???)

Anyway!  It’s weird and spooky and sexy and has great Seattle/PNW scenery.  10/10 would recommend, and should have had a second season.

I hope you love it, please flail at me when you watch it, and I can’t wait to see what you create!!! <3

It’s not that he’s bad at the accent. It’s that my ears are just used to his normal voice so the accent just sounds wrong. If I didn’t know how he normally sounds it would be fine. The accent isn’t bad, I just prefer him as is. Does that make sense? I’m like that with every actor I know semi well. ����‍♀️

oh yeah, i totally get that!!!  i’m the same way.  but the weird thing for me was that i was so much less bothered by his american accent that i could eventually get used to it, and i haven’t been able to do that with anyone else.  CE, Hayley, all the rest....no matter how good the american accent is, it just sounds wrong. :p  there is just something magical about simm, i guess!  ;)

I’ve only watched the first ep so far but if you hear faint cries on the wind coming from the direction of Texas over the next week, it’s me crying about John’s American accent. I do not like. ��

awww....i thought his was pretty good actually!  not what i’d prefer, of course, but i think he did a good job, and was convincing enough for me to forget about it after a while.  i hope you can get past it and love the show. :’)
