we feel bad about it all the time. stimming helps us. if it helps you, do it. it's not bad or weird. don't feel guilty. needing to stim is NOT bad. 🎠 - The Dreamdrop System

Mun Post time babey!
I mentioned in the tags that Host’s narrations are easily thought of as a stim, which I feel is true. As much as he hated it in the beginning, he just tends to feel safer or calmer when he’s narrating instead of speaking in first person. It’s why, most of the time, if he’s just sitting somewhere, he narrates under his breath about everything going on. So, with that figured out, I thought I might,,, throw a few other random stim ideas I had for him!
So, narrations out of the way, his coat is a big sensory thing for him. It’s heavy, the fabric is soft and he purposefully got the coat a bit too big for him so that he could have sweater paws. All of this is for stim reasons. He is a big pressure guy, meaning that he has a weighted blanket when he sleeps (if he ever sleeps that bastard) and the coat his big and heavy so that he can keep that kind of pressure on.
The coat sleeves are big for sweater paws so that he can flap his hands, and have the sleeves flap with them. This is me. I do this. It’s so much fucking fun, okay, if you’ve never done it, I one hundred percent recommend getting a coat that’s like two sizes too big and just flapping the sleeves it’s so good.
The coat is super super soft (probably only because his narrations, you’re lucky if you can wash the damn thing once a year) so he rubs the inside of the sleeves with his fingers when he needs to Stealth Stim, and sometimes he just rubs the sleeve against his face (these thing is so covered in blood honestly, it needs to be washed but he gets real close to meltdown mode if he’s out of it too long during the day. The weighted blanket helps, as does Mal existing and laying on him, but the moment that it’s out of the dryer? He’s back in it, wrapped in a ball on the floor)
Also! Still on the coat because jesus this thing is just a big ol stim toy for him, the belt thing? He never ties it, but he does mess with the ends, and sometimes take it out of the loops and wraps it around one hand, just cause.
Finally moving off of the coat, he does this thing with his hands where he presses his palms together so that his fingers rest on the inside of his wrists, and just,,, pushes them together. Usually he does this up near his face so he can kinda hide his face behind it. He also bounces a lot, never really letting his heels touch the floor when he does. Another is the arm swinging, just kinda,,, swinging his arms back and forth next to him as he bounces.
He mostly stims with the coat honestly, it’s just,,, very good at being a stim toy, alright? Sometimes he needs the more traditional stim toys (note the thing with Mal where he had the tangle, which are honestly,,, so fun) and he has a few hidden in the pockets of his coat (namely a fidget cube)
Also this man’s lips are torn up as fuck. He’s never chewed through them, but he does tear off skin on his lips all the time, leaving them looking chapped as hell, but also somehow soft as heck.
Basically what you should get from this is that if anything happens to the Host’s coat that he cannot fix? He’s fucked. The thing is probably easily fifty, sixty years old at this point, it’s only still alive because Host wills it.
Stimboard for griff!
I'm thinking of making this a series of stim boards for my ocs or any characters and tagging them with stim series. Gonna do kasey next
