god i wish the 12th doctors era ended with him lying on the ground of that forest saying "pity, no stars. i hoped there'd be stars." with that beautiful score behind it and a gentle regeneration it would have been incredible
So… don’t kill me but:
Ok I’m ready to get attacked for this but let’s just play out what would have happened if the Duffers hadn’t used Eddie as a placeholder death for steve. (Because to me thats what it felt like)
Imagine if they really had had the guts to do the unthinkable and kill off Steve…
How much more impactful would that have been???
Imagine for a second Steve dying in Dustin’s arms. Maybe making a quip about how he was the babysitter so it’s his job?
Maybe he went back to help them and saved Eddie? Maybe he got badly injured fighting Vecna and they only manage to drag him that far?
He tells Eddie to take care of Dustin. He tells Robin and Nancy how much he loves them.
The entire party would be so deeply affected.
If he did die saving Eddie, Eddie would feel guilty and the need to live up to the responsibility Steve left him with.
Dustin would have lost his parental figure just like all the other younger kids. He was their protector all this time.
The season could have ended with them determining to kill that son of a bitch for Steve. Everything for their beloved babysitter.
The weird dragged out love triangle too would have been solved in a poetic way, Jonathan and Nancy left with the need to work out where to go from here.
Robin would need to find her way without her beloved dingus and Hopper and Joyce upon coming back would be feeling incredibly guilty too because they left the kids to face this alone and now they lost their hero.
Just think about how story-wise this would have played out.
…and now im gonna go cry (again)
SOMA (2015)
SOMA is a sci-fi horror game from Frictional Games, the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It is an unsettling story about identity, consciousness, and what it means to be human.
The radio is dead, food is running out, and the machines have started to think they are people. Underwater facility PATHOS-II has suffered an intolerable isolation and we’re going to have to make some tough decisions. What can be done? What makes sense? What is left to fight for?
Off topic but have you played the first paws and claws?
I have!
Made a lil shitpost about the story.
Prince Michael Celebrates Birthday
To celebrate Prince Michael’s birthday today, Nimben Palace shared a very formal photo of the King and Queen’s eldest son on the grounds of Landfarm Park, the home of the late Queen Dowager and the temporary home of the Prince while he attends school.
The statement released alongside the photo confirmed that the Prince would complete his military service at an unknown date and time, possibly not until after his sister’s wedding.
It still remains unknown as to when Prince Michael will be given a title of his own, or what title he will receive, but it has long been speculated that he would be granted the title of Exeter. Other possible titles around the time of his birth included the Duchy of Asbury (which has since gone to Princess Claire and her husband, James), the Duchy of Cardin (rumored to be going to Prince Charles) and the Duchy of Clois.
Happy Birthday Your Royal Highness!
Blackbird, the Wayfinder.
From my original project, Elegy for the Lost.
I really wish they hadnt spoiled Harry getting kidnapped, cuz it would have made a real good cliffhanger (just like Albert getting injured in the pile-up in s4).
*Disclaimer: i only meant it for story purposes. Im aware that some might appreciate this heads up.
