Keen Swimmers 2025, Week three : crossover
“The Shape of Our Water”🫧
This week, I went with a crossover! The theme is The Shape of Water. In the end it turned into more of a parody! 😂 Painting with heavy shading is tough… definitely a challenge for me going forward!
In the drawing below, I put Walter in Strickland’s shoulder harness (…I think that’s what it’s called?). I’d love to put this on other fave characters too—it just looks so cool!!
Though in my version it kind of ended up looking like backpack straps, lol.
Here’s Barbara as Elisa, giving him that look of pure disdain ⬇️
Bonus ⬇️
That scene with Elisa was so cool, right? I was like, “Yes, you tell him!!”
I felt a little bad, but I just had to recreate it with Barbara and Walter 😂. Poor Walter was so shocked his eyes totally went blank 🤣
In my country’s gag comics, characters often roll their eyes back like that when they’re surprised or in shock—but I wonder how it comes across in other countries? I just hope the expression makes sense!
I also really wanted to draw a Back to the Future piece for the time travel prompt this week… but I don’t think I’ll make it in time. Tragic 🥀
a small rant about sean strickland because hes my favorite and love him lots
disclaimer: I DO NOT SUPPORT STRICKLAND'S RACIST, MAGA, HOMOPHOBIC AND ISLAMOPHOBIC VIEWS. I DO NOT CONDONE NOR SUPPORT ANYTHING OFFENSIVE HE HAS SAID (unless its toward my religion which personally i lmao at it).

"Sports statistics. Interesting subject. Homework, Tannen?"
"No, it ain't homework, 'cause I ain't at home".
"You've got a real attitude problem. You know that, Tannen? Just watch it. Because one day, I'll have you right where I want you, in detention. Slacker!"
All shot using real figures, lighting and miniatures

In a thrilling showdown for the middleweight title at UFC 297, Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis delivered an epic battle that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final horn. The intensity of the bout left Du Plessis with a nearly swollen-shut eye, and Strickland with blood dripping down his face. Contrary to expectations, the judges were called upon to render a decision in the main event.
9-1-1: Lonestar
Paul, Marjan and Matteo: the sibling trio
Have you seen the Tales of Arcadia series?
Yes from the very first season of Trollhunters! And so much stress waiting for the next seasons. 😂😂😂
My boys. ❤️💙💚
Yes, even Strickland because there's nothing like a good villain's redemption arc. Plus, look at the way he loves Barbara!
We did see 3 Below, Wizards, and Rise of the Titans, but I think the one that left the most impact was Trollhunters. Then, probably Wizards. Thanks for the Ask, Anon!
