A little post about the new Zucest idea I got.

It's basically a mix of your average dark mystery teen drama, but slightly inspired by a fic I read once and a thorki fic I never got to write.

We'll call it, the Small Town Supernatural Mystery AU. STSMAU, for short.

Its a Modern No Powers Au, until it isn't.

Zuko and Azula are the youngest members and heirs of the Agni family. The richest most influential family in town, whose current head is Iroh, after his little brother, Ozai, died in a freak accident.

The Agni family is basically the curse of the town. They used to be a tourist hotspot with a budding economy, until the Agni family put their company there.

Since then, it's only been bad luck for the town. The water is contaminated to the point where almost no fish can be found there. If you drink it, you may catch a strange illness that no doctor has been able to identify, but basically puts you at a death sentence. Every other winter, there rains black soot, and you better hide unless you want to be dead by next week.

Katara's mom died after the last black snowstorm. She blames the Agni company for it.

Zuko and Azula moved to the town after their father's death.

Zuko has managed to make friends with the gaang and is mostly left alone, but Azula has taken to terrorizing the whole school with her influence.

Zuko works at The Jasmine Dragon, his uncle's little pet project, with his mom and a classmate named Jin.

Everyone agrees that Zuko and Azula couldn't be more different, and yet they're often found together, joined at the hip and ready to throw hands at anyone who says shit about the other.

Some of their friends (Namely Mai, Katara and Sokka) feel like Azula may have a bit too much of a grip on Zuko, but they know better than to say so, since he'll always get defensive about it.

Mai suspects there may be a little more than meets the eye with those two.

Strange things happen to those who come between them.

Katara swears she saw Azula lead Jet into the woods before he had his "accident." But Zuko swears they were together at the time

The day before the first dissapearance, Zuko finds his little sister holding a flame without burning.
