• Do you prefer tea or coffee? Tea lover! Coffee is too bitter for my taste.
• Have you ever pulled an all-nighter? I have and I regret it. Didn't finish the test even tho I knew everything because I was too slow and tired. Lesson learned.
• Who is your most memorable teacher or professor? My third grade teacher. I was struggling real hard back then (can you imagine! Most people don't know this!) but she dedicated a lot of her efforts and time to help me get on the same level as my peers. Also it's thanks to her that I have a cursive handwriting!
• When did you create your studyblr? July 2018
•Do you write in blue or black pen? Black! It's more elegant. Although this opinion is highly biased because my fifth grade teacher had perfect handwriting and once said so...
• What is your favourite study snack? Protein balls by far. With lots of Peanut Butter.
•Are you involved in any studyblr networks? No, but I wish!!
•What was your favourite subject when you were little? Geography! I am very clumsy and seem in my own world most of the times, but if there's one thing that I've always could count on was my space recognition. I NEVER get lost and am very visual. So geography and especially topography felt right, like I had found something I am finally good at.
• What is your favourite subject now? Chemistry by faaaaaar. Chemistry has been the one subject I've had almost borderline obsession with. I would write and practice chemistry on any surface. I had a wall dedicated entirely to chemistry theory and all connections were marked by a red thread. Sadly, because of some legal circumstances, I wasn't able to pursuit my true passion in University. But I still read a lot on chemistry. It will be hard to replace!
• What is better, handwritten or typed notes? Both!! I prefer taking handwritten notes in class and then when I'm going over the stuff, I type the notes to solidify the concepts.
• What is your current study goal? Finish my thesis!
• If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be? The Wudang Mountains. Being close to nature, practicing cultivation and learning to be one with nature through the principles of taoism. It would be a whole lifestyle change. This is where I get a lot of conflicted feelings, so far I've been excelling at what society expects of me, but is this truly what I want? I really want to start a new chapter in my life, one where academics, money and power isn't the main focus, honestly. A place where I can humble down and forget about climbing all sorts of ladders and meeting expectations and competing against others. And I feel like there I can start anew.
• Do you study better in the morning or at night? After I take a nap 😂
• What is your dream job for the future? Anything that brings me closer to the sea and nature. I used to want to be a Maritime Officer so I could be on a ship and offshore and just enjoy solitude with a handful of people. I couldn't make my dream job come true so now I'm hoping to get enough money to own a boat instead. But given that I am a business student currently doing a business plan for her own business, I really want to put my marketing and entrepreneur skills to the test and see what I can make out of it.
• What type of weather do you feel most comfortable in? Spring! I experienced spring in Europe and some cities of South America and it was fantastic. Not too cold nor too hot. Just the right temperature.
• Have you played any sports? Yes! I started with football in primary school, but then I discovered my own true sports: rugby! Forget football and American football. Rugby is the ultimate sport, when I realised that, I could no longer go back to any other sports. I was even in charge of founding and arranging the first rugby clubs and matches in my island, and proudly played at the first female rugby team. So yeah... I love rugby!!
• How competitive are you? I can be competitive about certain things, like academics, rugby and whatever my sister's involved in (I have sister issues, okay?) But for the rest, I am not really.
• What type of music do you study to? Le holy hip-hop / jazzhop lofi.
• Do you use a calendar? Does it help you to stay organized? Sure I do! I use Notion and sync it to my Google Calendar. Without a calendar my life would be a mess!
