I'm suuuper late, but here's the November 2025 issue of Empire UK and yet another article about Avatar 3! Source

It's pretty short, but the stuntmen, Garret Warren and Steve Brown (who also played the recoms, Warren and Brown), talk a bit about how they shot the aerial battle that's happening in the first act of the movie - the Mangkwan attack on the Windtraders (which some of you got to see at the end of the rerelease of Avatar 2).

Honestly, mad props to these people, dealing with real fire seems pretty dangerous but James Cameron is all about the authenticity, lol. And they had to shoot everything twice, once for performance capture and second time for live action whenever human characters are around. Hats off to them!

This scene just makes me laugh when I think of the poor SOB that had to don a Hefty trash bag, wade out into the cold surf, and then pop up like a jack in the box on cue. Now that is some showbiz glamour!

A massive shoutout to the stunt crew on @historyvikings who gets beat up more often than not to make the actors look good. In this video: Richard Ryan, Jonathan East, Lee McDermott and of course my handsome stunt double Michael Redmond who, by the way, deliver a quite interesting performance as a doomed shield maiden... and gets killed twice. #crew PS. Yes, I'm the one doing the sound effects.
