This ship is obviously meant to work as a unit, piloted by four people, each focusing on one part of the body; White directs and sets goals, Pink moves them forward, and Blue and Yellow interact with, alter, and control their surroundings.
Hey, that sounds like the roles these four played before the rebellion! Fancy that.
But right now? This ship isn’t being piloted by four people. It’s not even being piloted by three. It’s being piloted by one person, and no matter how brilliant or strong she is, even with the extra processing power taking over other Gems probably gives her, White Diamond can’t do it by herself, and when she tries, it flails clumsily and can’t accomplish anything.
Isn’t that an interesting tie-in to the themes of Steven Universe.
