Alright the first of the second encounters, lets do this shit!!
mid-writing note: this has gone on for a lot longer than i thought it would, so hopefully it makes up for all the short scenarios for first meetings

Today’s the day, the first day of the Inter-High Prelims
Seijoh’s first match of the day won’t be until later, after the first round
but that doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to watch any of the other teams and their players
specifically Karasuno
namely Sugawara
because you’re whipped from one meeting
as you’re pushing Oikawa through the crowd to make sure he doesn’t get snatched by anymore of his fans, he decides to antagonize Karasuno
“Yoohoo, Tobio-chan, Chibi-chan. How’s the freak duo doing?”
with his cocky attitude and his his stupid peace sign in your face you smack his hand down
“that hurt, Iwa-chan.”
“that wasn’t Iwaizumi, you nitwit”
you’re standing behind him instead, with iwaizumi next to you very pleased with what you’ve done
at the sound of your voice one the players on the court notices you
“What?? Seijoh has an attractive manager, too?! That’s not fair, they have all those fans!”
he’s wearing a different jersey from the rest of the team, so you know he’s the libero, but he wasn’t at the practice match
one of the other members, the captain, walks up to him with his hand on Sugawara’s back
“Ah, but they already has their eyes on Suga. ‘The pretty setter’, as they call him”
“Seriously?!”
“Yah, why is everybody so surprised by that? He’s very attractive so it shouldn’t be that shocking.” you complain
“I think were more shocked at the fact that you’re taking interest in anything at all” Iwaizumi supplies
“Tch”
you look away from them defiantly and catch a very... pretty (winkwonk) picture
Suga’s face is red, just like it was the first time you said something to him
you lean on the railing as you get his attention “Hey, Sugawara”
he looks at you surprised
hes even more surprised when you smile and give him a thumbs up “Good luck in your matches.”
Secret Achievement Unlocked: Encourage the pretty setter
“Yah, why dont you ever wish us luck?!”
‘when will oikawa get rid of his ego,’ you wonder
“Bc i don’t like you”
“That’s mean y/n-chan!”
you walk in front of him to take your seat by the coaches
the rest of the team starts talking about the differences in Karasuno from the practice match
but you can’t help but observe their pret-
you cant help but observe Sugawara
you have got to get used to using his name
after the match is over Seijoh begins to move on so they can practice before their match
they’re upset bc they couldn’t see Karasuno’s freak quick again
you’re upset bc you still haven’t had a chance to see Sugawara play
‘I wanna see what he looks like on the court, too.’ you pout
“Y/n-senpai” Kunimi calls out to you
he’s the only one allowed to call you senpai simply bc hes the only one who gets the bliss of not doing work
“We’re leaving. Oikawa said you wouldn’t be allowed on the court if you didn’t come now”
you looked over to where Karasuno was exiting the court
“That’s fine. Have a fun match kunimi”
“Yah! L/n y/n you’re not allowed to flake on us!” Iwaizumi yells at you
“ah ha...” you resign yourself to follow behind the team “Iwaizumi you suck”
“Yoohoo, y/n-chan! Let’s hope you don’t miss Karasuno’s next match. You won’t see your pretty setter until tomorrow in that case~”
you look at Oikawa as seriously as you can
he looks a little freaked out by it, tbh
“Oikawa, finish this fast. I don’t wanna miss anything.”
“a-ah, yes...”
what you weren’t aware of however, was a certain person eyes on you as you left
once Seijoh finished practicing you made your way back to the court right as Kageyama and Hinata pulled off their freak quick
luckily your team would be playing on the court next to them so it was easy for you to see
the coach puts a hand on your shoulder, “Ah make sure you pay attention to our game, too, y/n-san”
you look at him shocked, hes looking at you with a cheeky smile
“Coach, since when do you joke like that?” one of the team asks, you think it was Kindaichi
“Since our uninterested manager finally became interested in volleyball!” he laughed
“They’re not interest in volleyball, theyre interested in #2″ Iwaizumi teased
“I guess you could say I have become interested in volleyball” you added, much to Iwaizumi’s confusion “but only because I want to see him play.”
‘who knew y/n could be so crazy for a boy’ you’re fellow third years thought
Karasuno’s match ended before Seijoh’s but you managed to hear what they were saying as they left over the sound of Trashy-kawa’s squealing fans
“I do wish my tosses could’ve played a part in the victory” Sugawara commented
‘I’m glad he wants to play, even though the pressure from Kageyama must not be the best’
Seijoh is nearing the end of their first set and Oikawa’s up to serve
once this volley is over you call out to him
“Yah, Oikawa!” he looks at you scared
what did he do wrong
you normally don’t yell at him unless hes done something
what was it, what did he do, what-
“I told you to finish this fast so I didn’t miss anything. Karasuno’s leaving now so I won’t get a chance to congratulate them in person”
“Why don’t you ever congratulate us!”
“bc your ego is big enough, Shitty-kawa.”
“Y/n-chan! You’re just like Iwa-chan!”
“Just serve the ball, Crappy-kawa”
“Iwa-chan~”
you look over at Karasuno and wave when you notice them looking at you
‘good they heard me’
“Y/n-chan~ are you sure you don’t just want an excuse to talk to their ‘pretty setter’“
“Of course I do”
“You’re too blunt about this”
you looked to the coaches confused “Am I supposed to act different?”
they sigh at you exasperated before you take one last look at Karasuno;
Sugawara is flustered and his teammates are laughing
when the match ended with a spike from Kindaichi and the team lined up to thank the crowd you once again saw Karasuno leaving
‘So they stuck around? Of course, they probably wanted to watch the team play seriously’
you pulled on coach’s sleeve and pointed to the exit
you want to catch up to them before they actually leave
he seemed to understand and waved you off
you caught up to them right before they left the building
“Karasuno!” they whipped around to face you
“You did hear me say I wanted to congratulate you, right?”
they seemed touched by that and went into a team bow “Thank you!”
“Ah you’re all so loud...”
“Sorry!”
their coached approached you apprehensively, “You’re Seijoh’s manager, right?”
“Yes”
“What are you doing encouraging us, huh? What kinda-”
“Ah, I’m sorry. It must seem like I’m trying to pull something, but I swear I just want to congratulate your team on their two wins”
unbeknownst to you, your team was now bunched behind a corner trying to listen in
‘We’ve never heard them sound so polite’
however, the coach still looked skeptical of you
“I was kinda forced to take this position, I’m not as into volleyball and the whole competition thing really. But,” you turned to address Sugawara. “I really hope I get to see you play soon, Sugawara” you finished with a smile
‘They never smiles at us either!’
that seemed to, ehm, set (HA) Oikawa off. seeing as he came rushing over before anyone could say anything else
“Okay, that’s enough of that, let’s go!” he ordered pushing you away from Sugawara “We play them tomorrow, you’re not supposed to encourage the enemy!”
‘the enemy?’ “You really are a crappy guy.”
“Y/n-chan, why are you so mean to me~”

BONUS:
they watched you two walk away amused, youre team following
“I think I recognize them” Kageyama suddenly said as they started moving again
Suga looked at him surprised, “You do?”
“Yeah, I think I remember seeing them in the gym during volleyball practice in my first year of junior high. They would only ever talk to Oikawa and Iwaizumi, and they never seemed all that interested in what was happening”
“So they’ve known them for that long?” Hinata asked
Would Yoongi date someone younger than him? Like 5 yrs younger? Or like Young-soon, he would be adamant about it?
I don’t think Yoongi’s really bothered either way when it comes to age, but I think he’d feel more comfortable with someone around his own age, more due to the fact they’d have had similar experiences growing up. I sort of think he’d be a bit baffled with someone who, for example, couldn’t remember watching VHS videos or making mixtapes on cassettes.
