I would perchance like to throw headcanons at you

My boyfriend (cough @dogeartist16 cough) told me Pavlova grows up in Chapter 10 because Eros grows up when he learns what love is. I love this idea so let me spin it in a horrible web-

Sugarfly is based off Psyche. Venus was so jealous of Psyche, she ordered Eros to make her fall in love with something terrible, but Eros fell for Psyche instead, bla blab bla, Psyche isn’t allowed to see Eros, bla bla bla, Psyche drinks magic ambrosia and becomes butterfly, the end.

Now, let’s twist this horribly out of proportion. Sugarfly was a faerie knight whose wings were coated in syrup. This could be the “ambrosia”, granting her “happiness”. The loading screen said if Pavlova and Sugarfly met outside the Garden, they’d be in love.

So what if, Eternal Sugar was threatened by a Faerie Knight in her territory (this makes sense to me bc I have lengthy head canons as to why Elder Faerie is Silent Salt.) So she orders Pavlova to take her happiness (probably her heart or wings) But- here’s where MORE HEADCANONS- he falls in love with her, causing Eternal Sugar to be PISSED. She turns him into a child, hindering the relationship bc no one would date a kid unless they wanna go to prison. Then she grounds Sugarfly because if she can’t leave the Garden, she can’t leave Pavlova either…

Also. Maybe there was “ambrosia” involved. I’d like to think that Pavlova’s curse of childhood can only be cured by true love, so when he realized that Sugarfly was his true love in her absence, he ages up. ALSO headcanon that the spell/curse/whatever took Pavlova and Sugarfly’s memories, making escape even less likely.

Edit: ONE LAST THEORY!!!! Pavlova’s little red bracelet shit could be. Red thread. In East Asian lore, mainly China, Japan, and Korea, red thread bounds the souls of lovers. In China it’s worn around the ankle, in Japan, it’s around the finger… in the Garden of Delights, it’s a bracelet :) hc that Sugarfly used to have one but lost it due to amnesia, Pavlova kept it without remembering what it was, feeling a connection to it… it hurt to remember what it meant.

Hello, Anon! First of all, sorry for the late reply. I was spending the weekend with my family, so I only just saw your comment. But back to your question!

I like to headcanon that there are many languages across Earthbread. Every kingdom would have its own official language, but there would also be regional dialects and local/tribal languages. Take the Dark Cacao Kingdom, for example: Cacaoian would be the official language, while communities farther away from the Citadel might speak their own languages, like the Milk Tribe.

As for how cookies from different kingdoms would understand each other, I imagine they'd need some sort of common language. Think of it like Latin in our world. (I actually want to explore this idea more in some of my other fics.)

We know from Beast-Yeast Chapter 11 that Black Sapphire and the other minions have been around for a very long time. Because of that, I think he would have learned many different languages over the centuries if he wanted to spread deceit effectively. As for which language he'd speak/swear, when he gets emotional, there are so many possibilities! Personally, I like the idea that it's some obscure language that never had a writing system. So nobody else would understand it/could tell what he's saying.

Sidenote: I really wanted to include lines in a language I come up with, but the editing process was already taking so long, I ended up scrapping the idea.

Made a reply on Bluesky, but fuck it I’ll post here too. I’ve been seeing people’s interpretations of the digital circus cast as humans. And I’ve been noticing that people draw Jax melanated. Initially I was pleasantly they weren’t drawing him as a basic twink, but looking at certain designs of the whole cast specifically… and he’s the only melanated person in the group -_-

I wanna give people leeway, cuz I genuinely don’t think they mean anything by it but like, why is the known misogynist, active abuser, and downright bully the only melanated character in the group? What specifically about that made you think that should be black?? And I know for some people, they just project their race onto characters they like (like me with komugi from wanpre). And that’s not a problem, as long as Jax isn’t the only POC in the cast.

Also somewhat related ig? This also applies to Zooble. The grouchy, irritable, lesbian character should not be the darkest character in the cast.

To reiterate, I do not believe people are intentionally stereotyping Jax and Zooble with their human designs. But I am saying to just think about it for a little bit before posting.

TLDR; Specific designs the TADC Cast draw Jax as the darkest skinned character and it rubs me the wrong way.
