I told a coworker recently I can’t safely eat grapes and most things made from them due to my sulfite allergy. Which sucks, because I used to love red grapes.
This fucker then proceeded to describe to me, in detail, about how he used to regularly drive by the vineyards a certain major company uses for their products and occasionally stop and steal grapes. He also included what they taste like.
And I’m like, “why would you do that to me after I just told you I can’t have them? Now I’m going to be craving grape, again.”
*weird side note on the sulfite allergy. Grapes naturally absorb sulfites from the ground making them a big thing to avoid. Raisins are weirdly usually safe in small amounts due to their processing, but they’re not, in my opinion, adequate substitutions.
