When is the deadline for summer osap?? I keep getting mixed answers...Also when would classes start for summer.. I’m debating going back to school this summer term or in September but I’m not sure when I would have to start school if I did this in the summer so need some help... thanks guys!
The deadline is usually near the end of June, there’s no deadline available right now because the summer OSAP application isn’t open yet. Check this: https://osap.yorku.ca/how-to-apply-for-osap-aid-for-the-summer-session website for updates in March when the summer OSAP application opens.

Also, keep in mind that you can only apply for summer OSAP through the York website if you already applied for F/W OSAP through the OSAP website. If you did not, then you will have to apply for summer OSAP through the OSAP website and not through York.
Your summer school start date will depend on which session you enroll in, SU/S1/S2.

If you’re a returning student, you should check your enrollment date for summer school, they have already been released. Enrollment begins in March.
For F/W 20/21 courses, enrollment will begin in June.

If I wanted to drop a S1 course since today is the last day, I am taking a full-time course load only S1. Would I be penalized from OSAP, what would happen? And it's not allowing me on OSAP to submit a change request, what should I do? Can I just drop it like that without submitting a change request?
I’m not sure how it will affect your OSAP, it’s different with each student.
Yes you can still drop the course. Submitting a change request just ensures that you’re not in an overpayment position with OSAP.

Hey! I was told for summer OSAP you have to apply through the YorkU website. But if you apply through there, is there a way to opt out of loans? And only take grants?
No, you can opt out of loans on the OSAP website after you’ve applied through the York site for the summer.

If I submit a change request form from York what do I write exactly if all I'm trying to do is drop a summer school course/ summer school lol ? also do I have to submit the form in person? Thanks for your help :)
Not sure what we’re supposed to tell you to write. The change request form is pretty clear, it already has an option for decreasing course load credits which would be what you fill out when dropping courses. Then explain why you dropped them. Simple as that.

For full time non disable students does soap only cover if we enroll into 9 credits only? Why won't they pay if we just wanna take 6 or 3?
If you’re taking less than 9 credits then you need to apply for part time OSAP as you would be a part time student.
