OK so like . i actually subscribe to this one . don't get me wrong i do think nod struggles with things ( like the loss of his father ) , but i don't really think he's the kind of guy who internalizes his trauma . he CAN dream , but he's not a " wake up in a cold sweat " kind of guy . i genuinely think that so much of the trauma he's experienced is just . part of his life and the culture of those around him so it just Doesn't Bug Him ( pun intented ) . so yeah long story short when people wake up from bad dreams and are like " yeah just one of those nightmares " he's like " MHMM ... HAHA I SURE DO GET THOSE ... "

THE TRIANGLES EYE CURLS INTO A GRIN, clearly finding the sentiment amusing - although it's likely not for the reason she thinks. It's a real shame he can't make that a reality with the snap of his fingers anymore.. but indulging the idea at least brings some amount of entertainment. Honestly, similar fantasies are something he often finds himself considering with most of the tourists.

HE KNEW TRAINING OLLIE WOULDN'T BE EASY , but somehow it's harder than he thought it'd be. Is this how Nana felt? He wishes she were still here; he could really use her advice right now... but she isn't, and this is up to him. Just him. He promised to train him to become a hero, and that's what he would do.

HE SNICKERS, the leftover shock subsiding as Tangle's presence sets in. He almost mistook her for a fancy new badnik - but instead it just turns out she's gotten good at picking random bridges to hide under. Perfectly in line with something she would do, so the surprise wears off quickly.
