the heat has been making me reflect on the position of Sunne in my cosmology. i only grew up with two stories about Sunne, one in which she is running away from the wolf [ sometimes a snake in other tellings] and one in which she helps heal a horse [ interestingly enough in a story of saint Joseph healing a donkey the sun is framed as helping him in the way that i was told that story by my catholic family] i try to think of my cosmology as a sort of eco-system in which niches exist that sometimes overlap. so I'm sure there's other deities who could ride the chariot of Sunne but she is the one who does it most. it is to me her primary niche. today though i prayed to her healing. for her to help all of those that suffered a heat stroke. for everyone to stay safe through this heat that my country is going through right now. for her to heal those who have a sunburn. and it has reminded me that i do not pray to her enough. and that i need to find more ways to appreciate her. and her qualities

Ayrıca Tevhid nimetinin büyüklüğüne ve her nimette olduğu gibi, büyüklüğü nisbetince bu nimetin de hamd ve şükrü gerektirdiğine açık bir işâret vardır.

İnsanlardan çoğuna bu nimet verilir ama o, bunun değerini bilmez. Bu ise nankörlüğün en büyüğüdür. Oysa Allah, nimeti karşılığında şükrü emreder. Ey Tevhid ehli kardeşim! Sakın ğâfillerden ve nankörlerden olma!
