Shehadn’t gotten to talk with him a lot, since they’d been in her mind-prisontogether- a fact that, she guessed, set his own mind at ease, since he was sonervous to meet her at first.

“Oh!Hello, Kara.” Brainy answers, looking up with wide eyes, back at Winn for amoment before focusing on her. “Did you need to talk to me?”
“Yeah.”She says. “Come on. Let’s go talk, just the two of us.”

“Idid nothing.” Brainy answers. “That was you, and I could not have been morehonored to help when you were in such a position.”
Karasmiles.

Shetakes Brainy’s hand, and he feels like he’s overheating.
“Iwish I could feel that more. It was something different. Special.”
“Certainly.”Brainy agrees, at a loss for words. “And I am sorry that we have to leave now.”
“Don’tbe- it’s okay. You guys did your jobs. You, especially, Brainy- you’re a truehero. I’m glad I met you.”
“Asam I.” Brainy says. “Shall we-“
Hedoesn’t complete his sentence, before Kara hugs him.
Much less awkward now, he thinks. But all he says, once she pullsaway, is: “Thank you.”
“Anytime.”

Karalooked at him, confused, studying his expression. How he didn’t want to look ather face, eyes lower or looking off in the distance.
“Well,yeah… but, are you okay? You don’t need to share that stuff with me if you don’twant to.”
Brainyshook his head.
“No,I want to, Kara. It is… to put it plainly, I haven’t been okay for a longtime.”
Karahugged him without hesitation.
OP literally made Brainy x Winn a viable thing in my mind but go off I guess
I’m not ashamed, it is a viable thing
