SUPERMAN'S GIRL FRIEND, LOIS LANE (vol. 1) #55 (February, 1965). Cover by Kurt Schaffenberger.
I love how Schaffenberger uses the super-daughter's cape to cover the face of the "secret wife."
Boy howdy, this is another story that the plot left me incredibly dizzy. It's really wacky, even by Silver Age DC standards.
I won't spoil the story for you; it really needs to be read to be believed.
Marvel and DC have jointly held the trademark for the word "superhero" since 1980, but no longer.
So the skies drawing post from before
I decided to draw something on it
Here it is :D
These two lifelong pals 2.0
traffic lights
- Superman also have problems?
I want an AU where they address the alien side of the superfamily and show the difficulties of powers
I just wanted a Superfam AU where the League are having problems because of the Superfam and the Superman just got overwhelmed with all:
" I'm not human, i never was!"
"we already know that Clark wh-"
" So why expect me to act like one? to be like a human? It is not me! and it will never be"
Street traffic is extremely stressful due to horns and bright lights
Some reactions can be compared to anxiety attacks
Even super hearing is painful, imagine having to listen to every accident or death from robbery that happens every day
Sometimes they need a break, that means digging into the Cold and Silent Arctic until the Panic attacks stop.
I want to see the league helping Clark deal with his alien side, I want to see them all supporting and being careful with what can hurt clark
Cool, nothing can penetrate his skin, but what can penetrate his mind? How can someone invincible handle so much stress for so many years?
Watching WandaVision made me want kiribaku babies so I made krbk babies
(Theres a whole scientific concept of how they came to be pls feel free to ask about them I love them)
Y’all wanna hear about the baby superhero team my brain decided needed to exist?
Yeah you do!
So, I’ve been on a superhero kick lately, specifically DC characters cause I’m kinda tired of Marvel, and my brain decided “what’s the harm in making a superhero OC?” Turns out the answer to that is making an entire team, side characters, a whole world, and lore.
So far, I have the team solidly figured out. Said team lives in a world where superheroes have been around for while (think Young Justice cartoon timeframe in the grand scheme of superhero timelines). People with superpowers aren’t uncommon, so of course a superhero profession surfaced.
On the team, we have Witchboy, a “magic” user, Nightbolt, an unpowered archer/tech hero, Karma, Damage Enhancement ability, aka can take damage and send it back at their opponent even stronger, Ibis, presumably a teleporter, Frost, Iceman but spikier, and Saber, an unpowered sword user.
Nightbolt, Frost and Saber are Legacy Heroes. Aka, they got into heroing through family or personal connections. Meanwhile, Witchboy, Karma and Ibis all have their own reasons for joining a superhero team.
no one tagged me in the wip challenge but i want to do it anyway so i tagged myself!! if u want to do it consider this as me tagging you :) :)
from a superboys college au i’m workin on that’s just. so ridiculous but so fun.
“tim, i haven’t seen any sign of them,” kon interrupts, appearing at tim’s elbow with a worried look on his face. “like, not a hair. i don’t know-- oh! hey, bro!”
“told you he was here,” jon says to damian. “what are you doing here?”
“catchin’ an alien. you?”
“it’s a college party,” says jon.
“an alien?” damian asks incredulously, looking between tim and kon. “here?”
“yeah, have you seen anything weird?”
“i don’t understand.”
“we’ve been tracking this thing for weeks,” tim explains, scratching at his chin. “it likes parties, something about the exhilaration, we think. it keeps jumping from party to party, state to state, but we think we’ve finally caught it. have you seen it?”
“i haven’t seen any aliens here,” damian replies with a shake of a head. “well, besides the obvious.”
“hey! i’m only half alien!”
“still counts, kent.”
