...I'm not saying that Katie McGrath should get a role where she gets to stab people with daggers while wearing a cape but I do believe that that's what TV needs right now

Hey maybe the CW stands for Content Warning
Gay culture is watching every single show just because there’s 10sec of lesbian action in it.
For my anon friend who requested fluffy supercorps! I may have made Kara slightly too tan but it's chill 😅
everyone @kara w/lena
Today in my Media Arts Class:
Professor:
How does/doesn't fandom culture actively resist dominant culture?
Me:
As a queer woman of color I find that character s like me are never part of the "canon". I have little to NO representation. I am always having to read things in the subtext because I don't exist. By participating in the fandom by creating fanart and fanfiction it allows me to "ship" characters together that otherwise wouldnt be together canonly. (I then gave examples of Swan queen, supercorps, Hermione/Ginny pairings)
Straight (TM) classmate:
Ron was always destined to be with Hermione that's how J.K. Rowling wrote it and it shouldn't be manipulated.
Me:
REALLY BITCH?!
Did I stutter? or Do you not have ears to listen to anything I just said?!?!?!
I'm watching Supergirl with my bro and he thought Lucy Lane was in love with Kara lol just wait until he sees Lena
