Peggy was sitting on the ground, at the coffee table that was in front of the TV.
She was drawing on her sketchbook. She always carried her sketchbook with her no matter where she was going, it was with her.
She was drawing all she knew : Her dads, her brother, her uncles and aunts, her house (Stark Tower), she tried to draw Jarvis but it just looked like a small box who can talk.
Steve walked in the living room, he looked at his daughter and asked her : “What do you draw, sweetheart ? ” he knelt before her and kissed her hair.
“Daddy” she answered, “I miss him, when he’ll come back from his business trip ?”
“Soon, I promise Princess.”
“Oh God, Pepper ! When that will end ? I’m so tired of all these meetings !”
“Five more meetings and we can go back home.”
Tony sighed deeply, “I have a family now ! I can’t leave for so long.”
Pepper smiled, and asked : “How are they ? Peggy must have grow so much now, she really looks like you.”
“Yeah, she’s five now, she so pretty ! You can’t find a girl cuter than her.”, Pepper rolled her eyes and Tony continued : “And Peter is so smart, I’m so proud of him.” He had a wide smile on his face when he was talking about his children. Pepper was smiling too, because she liked Tony, and saw him happy make her happy too. But she clapped her hands and said “Okay, now let’s get back to work !” And Tony sighed again.
“Peggy ! Peter ! It’s late now ! Go to sleep !” Steve put his hand on his hips and frowned. “But, Papa ! Daddy will be here from one moment to the other !” begged Peggy. “And we don’t have school tomorrow Papa, we can stay up late if it is for a special occasion.” Peter added.
Steve sighed “All right you win, five more minutes but it’s all, understood ?”
Peggy and Peter answered at the same time “Yes Papa !”
They heard the sound of the elevator, the doors opened and Tony entered in the room.
Peter and Peggy jumped from the couch and ran toward their father, Tony bent down and hugged them “I missed you soooo much”
“Daddy are you hungry ? It remains food for you !” said Peggy enthusiastic.
Tony put his hands on his belly, ”Oh yes I could eat a cow ! What is there to eat ?”
“Chopped steak and mashed potato ! I made the mashed potato daddy !”
“Great my son you can mix milk and flakes of mashed potato, I’m proud of you !”
Steve laughed and replied “He’s still a better cook than you.” Tony frowned “Hey ! I can cook omelette very well !”
“No ! Last time it was just scorched !” Tony sat on the couch, “I bring you your plate Daddy !”Peggy ran in the kitchen and Peter followed her and shouted “No ! Me !”
Steve joined them in the kitchen and said “Hey ! Stop ! Peggy you bring the plate and Peter you bring the cutlery and don’t run with it !”
Tony smiled and said “Thank you kids.” He started to eat and suddenly he remembered “Hey ! I have presents for you !” Steve sighed and said : “God, no, you spoil them too much.” Tony ignored him and he take the first box and he handed it to Peter.
The boy opened it and said : “It’s a robot ! Thank you Daddy !” he hugged his father and started to play with his new toy. “And for you Princess, I bought you that”, he handed another box to his daughter, she also opened it and when Steve saw it, he said :”Tony no ! You can’t ! It’s paint for professional ! She’s only five !”
Peggy had stars in their eyes, she looked at all the beautiful colors her paint box contained. Tony replied “If my daughter love to paint she must have the best, and I bought you the same paint box, so you can paint together.” Steve closed his eyes and huffed “Okay now kids it’s time to go to bed and I don’t want to hear any objections, let’s go.” The two children kissed their father, took their present and ran to their rooms.
Steve sighed again and said “You are incorrigible.”
“But that’s why you love me, right ?” Tony smiled, the blond kissed him and answered “Unfortunately.”
