Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team

Blue Rescue Team’s card could be plugged into the top of the DS (where the Pokemon on the box art look down) and the Red Rescue Team cart could be plugged into the bottom of the DS in the Game Boy slot (where the Pokemon on the box art look up). I wanted to give it a shout out for being fun designs with the physical hardware!

Watched the Superman movie today. Really great. Check it out on theathers if you can

UNFORTUNATELY, it also reminded me that there's never been a good Superman videogame.

There's like 5 noteworthy titles, including one of the worst videogames ever made among them, Superman 64, so thanks for that i guess

So, what gives? Why do videogames hate the poor guy? Other than the fact that Warner Bros is a miserable company ran by sea slugs, it's been speculated that his incredible powers are so big, that they usually get poorly translated into a satisfying gameplay. But that can't be true for two reasons:

One, there are plenty of great videogames that let you experience massive amounts of power to the point of rivaling the gods of chaos and the forces of nature

And two, there's plenty of stories where his power is limited, grounded, and doesn't get overblown in the way of obstructing the excitement

Such examples of limited yet still huge power scale include Undertale, where you get to choose what you do with the power you have over those around you. You can easily destroy them, or instead threat them with honor and dignity, showing them the value of life. The choices you make matter most.

Another one would be the Sonic videogames, that while often ridiculed for various reasons, used to follow a winning formula of giving us a grandiose final boss battle against gigantic cosmic horrors, while delivering an incredible scene of confrontation where music and the story combine to show how far we've come and why it's been worth it to keep going strong to this point

All i hope now is, with the success of this new movie, maybe we'll finally see a good videogame with Superman on the forefront, ready to present us hype moments and aura, all while delivering a life changing speech about life and love and all that good stuff. One day someone will step up and finally deliver. Hopefully
