Phase 1 of Baby Blanket Complete!
I used two skeins of the O'go Caron Simply Soft, and I think it's a good baby blanket size. I don't know these things off the top of my head because I rarely make anything for kids, but it seems about right.
Phase two is gonna put a lot of details into place. And then Phase three will be sewing a cute fabric to the back. The one in the photo is not wide enough, and I don't have anything else in the house that has a good color match, so off to Joann this weekend to see what I can find.
I won't say a great deal about the Phase two details because I think it'll be a big, fun surprise to show it when its done, but I will say it involves surface crochet, and look at how nice it looks already:
The goal is to have the whole thing completed by the end of the weekend so I can send the blanket with Sean when he goes over to the expecting family's house on Monday. We'll see. For now, I'm calling it a night on stitching so I can read some more of my book.
