Xerocomellus chrysenteron ( Bull.) Šutara is a species of Basidiomycetes in the family Boletaceae , it is mainly found under Pinaceae (Picea and Abies mostly) and bound to continental climates. Its main features are smooth spores , cracking cap with lighter marginal color , pink flesh in the cracks , reddish stem and more or less unchanging yellowish flesh , vinaceous in the lower part of the stipe. X.cisalpinus, a near species, is differtiated by its habitat mainly under Fagaceae (especially Quercus) and by its slow but strong staining from pore level downward visible in cross section. Not found in Sardinia. Common in northern Italy from august to october. Callistosporium luteoolivaceum , a species in the family Tricholomataceae. It is a collybioid white spored and it usually grows on pine stumps.
