Decided I wanted to draw Voyagers Story Blue and Chara properly!

I thought: "aw man, drawing Core on this homestuck-like artstyle must be so fun!" So I tested it!... Now look at them, so cool!!!... Althought, why do they seem so hollow?

I'm just testing a concept, btw.

I've been slowly working on dubbing Underverse, and in turn have been making thumbnails for my dub. :D

As of right now, I have basically finished dubbing season 1 of Underverse, with only the epilogue left. I need to make thumbnails for the rest of season 1 as I didn't for...some reason? So I only have these five for now. 😭

If you want to check out my dubs, here's the playlist for them. I plan on remaking my dubs of 0.0 and 0.1 cuz my original dubs sound AWFUL compared to how 0.4 sounds.

I think Killer should mourn Chara. Like yeah what they had was messed up and twisted and yet they wormed there way into his soul tearing him apart as they did. He can’t help but miss them, can’t help the grief on the anniversary of their death he never planned to live past them. It doesn’t really matter to him if no one else understands their relationship why Killer would care about them or even mourn them when he killed them. ~Musical Anon

Considering how he says he kinda misses Nightmare (“that guy”) in his Good Ending even when he can’t exactly articulate why despite knowing logically that Nightmare did use him, I have no doubt that it’s something similar with Chara deep down. Sometimes they’re friends, sometimes they’re not, according to rahafwabas anyway.

But also, I don’t know if he even fully understands or more like fully trusts that Chara is possibly, really, truly gone. Not just about the Chara in his head situation, but the fact that we see from the Killer vs Swap comics that it’s not uncommon for him to mistake alternate versions for the ones he knows.

Papyrus, Chara. For a moment there, he truly believed that Swap Chara was his Chara, and he didn’t understand why they were there or what they were doing. He had to remind himself that that Chara was “the swapped one.” And he got more violent once he realized that.

I’ve said it somewhere before, but I wonder if parts of Killer’s mind haven’t really left the Underground even if his physical body has. Sometimes time and reality seems to slip in his mind, jump backwards sometimes and get jumbled up together.

I feel like this makes sense, due to the way the RESET works. He himself has died many times and yet he’s still here, still alive, sometimes.

So I like to think that death, time, and the idea of mourning and grief is rather strange for Killer. Chara’s supposed to be gone, but he sees them everyday. He hears them, he looks at them, they talk to him.

I think Killer tries to keep track of the small differences when it comes to alternative versions of the Underground. Especially when it comes to aus that look almost exactly the versions he knows. He has to remind himself that this is the “swapped chara,” not his chara.

Perhaps this is also another reason why he’s so interested in the codes’ of others SOULs. Because their codes tell him exactly who and what they are. What role they play.

We see a similar idea to that here, with the codes telling us that one is the swap_sans and the other is the fell_sans.

Which leans more into my thoughts that maybe Killer, in Stage 2, does not fully grasp or view others as fully developed people—they’re codes, objects of fascination or use, or threats/targets, etc. It’s a similar dehumanizing view of himself too.
