Super stoked to announce that @anacathie and I have been invited to paint at @artscape_festival this coming summer. Excellent art by @murobhasart 🙌🏾 After my nightshift I took the train to Uppsala to get my son and spend the day with him and his friends. Upon my arrival as I waited for my ride and a woman came up to me and asked me to get her some coffee. "Why not?" I thought to myself, and nodded. She quickly admitted she actually needed some formula and diapers rather than the coffee. I stood up and we walked to the nearest store. Memories of my own time on the street with no money in my pocket started to resurface. I could not sort my feelings, and to her I might have seemed cold and distant. We spoke on the way to the store, she told me about her family and I listened. At the store she stared at the face creams, and pads. I could vividly remember when I had no money for pads or cremes, which today seem given. After we finished shopping I didnt say much , I hugged her as tight as I would hug my child, and she gave me a kiss on the cheek. Let's not forget the courage a beggar possesses, let's not forget it is not easy to tell strangers your problems, especially when most have no empathy, let's not forget that even you can make someone's day slightly more bearable. #supportblackart #murobhasart #letsnotforget #unity #humanity #art #digitalart #swedenart #blackart #artlovers #solidarity #artofvisuals #empathy #artislife #artlove #melanin #artstagram
