You know, I often see women getting downhearted about the state of women in the world. Women becoming cynical, believing that women's liberation is impossible. And, you know? I get it. You look around yourself at the world, you see the general current and past state of things for us, the abuses women have had to go through for millennia just for being born as women, and you start to wonder: honestly, will we ever be truly free? The thought is depressing, and I sometimes even momentarily want to join them.

BUT.

Then I think of the absolute assload of rights women fought for and ultimately won that people merely take for granted today, and there is no reason why the same shouldn't be true for other sex-based rights in the future. The right to sex-specific spaces, the right to vote. We fought against sexual harassment in the workforce, we fought for the right of married women, for pregnant women to not be fired from their jobs on that basis. We fought for the right of women to have our own credit cards in our own names, to legally own property. To go to school. To attend higher education. We made it a crime for a man to rape or beat his significant other. We made women's sport a thing. We have made significant changes that benefit women, and we can keep going.

True, men benefit from misogyny, and will do whatever they can to keep it going, but that doesn't matter. Because, in the end, it's not about men, and those changes weren't made by kowtowing to them. It's about us, and we are our own biggest obstacle. Our own lack of female solidarity is what is most likely to drag us down, not whether our oppressors suddenly agree to "give" us rights that we, in reality, fought tooth and nail for until they were forced to accept our demands. And all we need to do is choose female solidarity above all else again, and keep choosing it, in order to continue towards full women's liberation. We've made progress for women before, and we can do it again. We don't need men's approval. We just need us.

I know the state of women in the world is depressing at times. I know our fight has been long, hard, and arduous. But slow progress is still progress. We can do this, ladies. Don't give up.

Nothing makes men happier to see so called "feminists" encouraging young women to be bimbos, to sell their body on onlyf*ns, to sexualize themselves, to pander to pedophilic man-made beauty standards.
