idk i think people will completely misattribute misogyny and as a result wind up acting like it does not exist. i clearly recall bianca devins murder (an extraordinarily misogynistic, violent act) and people on here were calling it an aphobic hate crime. posts from transmascs describing unfortunate experiences with misogyny (layered with transphobia of course) and start claiming its actually a form of misandry or 'transandrophobia'. posts where people describe the ways men are treated negatively in ways that are inherently misogynistic (men degrading / shaming other men for behaving in ways perceived as feminine, because to be feminine is to be lesser) and insist its misandry... theres no nuance. and now on top of everything talking about feminism in any real capacity gets you terf accusations so thats cool. thank you for walking it backwards everyone
