Sometimes when I'm at work and feeling tired or wistless/irritated from the boredom, whoever's in co-con just sucks up that feeling and holds it for me for a while. Typically not for long but for a bit. Since multiple have done it, I don't really think it's a role it's just something they can do.

Where can I learn more about how these kpop major companies are structured? Are you able to give me a quick n dirty primer?? SM vs JYP vs Hybe? Please??

UUUUUH look the only company i like... have an actual grasp on is jype bc it was part of being an ahgase was being pissed at the different divisions ahhahaha

but yeah hype is built out of... four different divisions. and the different groups are managed from different divisions, which is why there can be such a difference in quality or treatment between the different divisions. so each division has their own staff, and works as their own agency. 1st division is skz, 2nd was got7 and itzy (i think many fans saw division 2 as generally 'worse', is that fact or just disgruntled fans? i honestly dont know), 3rd is twice, fourth is day6 and xdinary heroes. then they had an actors division, and a chinese division, a japan division... so each of these are like separate agencies that hire their own staff. this means that while you have a full board that works for JYPE, each division handle their own artists and their own promotions. jype trainees, however, is a centralised business. which is probably why theres a real 'jype idol' personality.

sm and yg as i understand it have been more traditional top down, esp SM. so sm has sm producers, while jype have.. div 2 producers. div 1 producers. BUT! sm 3.0 was a new structure that was.. SUPPOSED to decentralise the power and production? but in my experience as a worker, it takes a lot more than a plan to break an office culture.

jype is still centralised, while HYBE is i think a fully decentralised system, being a company that has acquired many small labels and companies that operate fully independently. also, one of my best friends whose a shawol was pissed at hybe 'stealing' a lot of the very iconic sm music producers and staff. is that true? i have no idea.

ANYWAY thats what I know? just from being a nosy little fucker who loves speculating about the business side.

maybe a red flag was our ex being against source separation..

like by no means do we see it as a requirement, it can be difficult

but being against working towards like?? being your own person rather than solely your source is?? strange

we have people who struggle to source separate, we have people who were source seperated from the beginning

but i feel like its only natural that the longer youre here and the more you experience things outside of what you remember that you source separate even if you stick with your name and looks, and indulge in your media

im not my source, im not JUST asuka i just haven’t been here long enough to truely source seperate, but even now im considering a new name

i still think its kinda strange they were weird about US source separating, its not about them and the dynamics of those alters

if they really loved eachother and it wasn’t just source, then source separation shouldnt matter as theyre the same person

its like being upset with someone for transitioning its weird, im still me just more authentically me without a pre established box that im no longer comfortable in

anyway i think i like the name Ava, it reminds me of Eva as in Evangelion

i don’t need to pilot an eva anymore to be special, im special as myself :]

The riveting (/j) sequel! This is more of a common experience than the last one, it happens almost every single time. Then when I stop to serve a customer it breaks their immersion and when I'm done they ask me to keep going hehe.

Plural App Alternatives

Now that Simply Plural and Octocon are shutting down, people are no doubt panicking so we've decided to try and compile a list of alternatives we know of! Info may be incomplete, we're not professional or anything.

Hivemind

@hivemind-app TLDR: App is still in development and not yet available on iOS. They have posts for their FAQ and the functions of the app.

The Concordia Project

@theconcordiaproject TLDR: Moreso a project for tools for plural apps and create a space where apps can gain support, will also be developing their own app as well.

Ourcana

Ourcana Website TLDR: We're still looking into this one but it seems pretty simple, don't think it's out on iOS though! Doesn't seem to have a tumblr blog so it's harder to find info, it does have a discord server though!

Considering changing our system name again,, nothing too big! It'll still be silly-string but I'm thinking of changing 'system' into something else. I don't feel comfortable using it due to the fact that it's supposed to be a medical term and we do not have a CDD. We are primarily traumagenic but if we just don't have a CDD I just feel a little uncomfortable using 'system'.... I've been looking for a replacement but nothing sounds right...
