Ever seen a Sysco truck, unloading deliveries outside a restaurant?
They are the reason why some meals are identical across the country, regardless of restaurant. Those french fries you ate were probably made in a Sysco industrial kitchen, frozen, then shipped thousands of miles.
Got 11 minutes? Learn a bit about the giant monopolistic food provider you've barely heard of.
i think i do have an underlying disorder bc tell me why when I eat food from restaurants that use SYSCO (google it) not only is the food balls (bc it's cyberpunk 2077 equivalent food trash) but i feel deathly ill after. im allergic to something in that food man idk
I absolutely abhor hearing “there’s nothing we can do” in regards to cutting back on consumerism.
I’m not asking you to live like a medieval peasant. I’m asking you to stop buying from Starbucks, amazon, and mega chain restaurants.
Literally pour over and stovetop coffee makers are so cheap. So fucking cheap. There are baristas who will tell you recipes. There is literally NOTHING on Amazon that is a necessity. Any items you think you’re saving money on will end up being replaced in a few months or will collect dust. Absolutely 0 reason to buy sysco slop from restaurants.
This rant was brought to you by an attempted Sysco and Restaurant Depot merger. Under Trump’s crusty ass FTC.

The acquisition would be the latest major deal across consumer‑facing industries as firms look for scale to navigate weaker demand and persi
Part of the reason restaurant food gets worse as the prices keep getting higher is because Sysco is plodding steadily towards monopoly. Restaurant Depot was one of the biggest competitors not named Costco still standing.
yum
REFERENCES THEY HOPED THE AUDIENCE WOULD GET. BLOSSOM AND SYSCO. RICHIE JERIMOVICH THE BEAR
Remember when they had Richie taking and plaving orders and calling people by ame
Except it wasn't their real name
He called that one lady Blossom because of her hat .
The Blossom hat from the TV show was a big thing apparently in the 90s.
A big fashion statement
He called the guy next to her Sysco after Sysco foods because of his hat
That to me is the subtle humor that makes the show great.
Not the Faks saying wine smells like Skittles. Taste the rainbow
WHAT???
Anyhow, I think it's significant that Richie says these references to the past. Or the era
Hopefully they reveal in season 4 or 5
