i just felt like sharing this:
it’s different for everyone, but the way we switch is if its not a triggered switch, we suddenly feel really tired and start to dissociate (my body doesnt feel right and everything around me feels off or wrong in a way). then the current fronter will often ask judas whats going on and whos going in, if we cant tell, we get judas to front until we are sure its an alter that can front and be in a safe space.
we have pretty fluid switches, so the two alters that are switching out kinda blend together then suddenly the new fronter is all by themselves. we often are still really tired and dizzy for a bit, and also not functioning yet. like misspelling words, stuttering, tripping over air, not understanding tasks, etc. its kinda like immediately after you wake up ig?
we often have to ground ourselves by counting our fingers, doing the 5 senses thing, taking deep breaths before we can do anything. but yeah!
and for triggered switches:
for posititve: the alter will immediately go co-con, and will want to front bc they like said possitive trigger, and then yk the rest.
for negative: they will immediately go co-con, and either they can control not switching in or they cant and go in and will have to get judas to get them out so they can control themselves and not freak out
same symptoms at first, then usually we go really weak in the body (not limp, but very close to it. just kinda like we lose all ability to control the body but if needed can scooch or move so we arent in pain), and we just keep going limp over and over again until someone takes front. we are always dizzy and have a headache during rapid switching.
have a good day!! ty for reading :) -spencer + ran
