In love again - Taeil

After the way your last relationship ended you didn’t think you would ever feel this way again. You didn’t think you would fall in love again. But here you were, standing in front of Taeil after one of your many dates, gazing in to his eyes and thinking to yourself, “how could I ever love someone else than him.”

The both of you are standing in front of your door, smiling at softly at each other. Not ready for the night to end. You didn’t make a move to go inside and Taeil didn’t make his way to his car again.

“Would you like to come inside?” you ask after a few minutes. Your voice is soft and filled with nerves. Taeil nods. “I would love to.”  

Taeil and you are sitting on your couch, a glass of wine in your hands, softly talking to each other. When it grows quiet again, you place your glass on the coffee table and move closer to Taeil.

He smiles and grabs your hand, rubbing circles with his thumb. Your heart starts to beat faster and you’re scared that he can hear it beating.

Taeil notices your sudden nerves. “Is something wrong?” his voice is soft and filled with concern. You shake your head. “Not really.. it’s just, I think I’m in love.” The words leave your mouth fast and once you realize what you just said a blush creeps onto your face.

Taeil is quiet for a bit and that scares you. Just when you’re about to apologize and take your words back, you feel Taeil’s lips on yours. The kiss is short but sweet. “Good.” He mumbles. “Because I know I’m in love.” And before you can say anything else his lips are pressed against yours again.

[01:25am] the sound of the front door slamming shut startled you awake from your tired stupor. you rubbed your eyes and quickly readjusted yourself on your couch, the plate settled on your hands wobbling slightly at the sudden movement.

taeil entered the living room after turning the lights on, wondering why they were off in the first place since he knew you were normally still awake during this hour.

“happy birthday, baby!” you greeted once your eyes have adjusted to the sudden light in the room, trying your best not to sound tired.

your boyfriend let out a small yelp of surprise at your sudden exclamation. he looked at you with wide eyes but his surprised state quickly melted away as soon as he saw you, eyes squinted a little and your hair looking like a nest.

“thank you, honey,” he whispered, dropping his bags on the floor with a soft thud and making his way towards you. once he was near, you stood up and held the plate out to him.

he laughed lightly at the little moon face drawn on the light green frosting and the “i love you moony!” written under it. “did you make this by yourself?”

“mhm!” you nodded eagerly. “i asked taeyong to help me with the cake this time though.” you commented quietly, a small pout settling on your lips as you set the plate down on the coffee table and shuffled around for a lighter.

taeil only laughed louder at your comment. he remembered his birthday last year, where you tried to bake a cake by yourself while he was out with the boys and it ended up being an entire mess. he wasn’t sure if what you made that day could be even considered as a cake, but he appreciated the effort you exerted.

you lit the candles hastily and set the lighter down on the table, the excited glint in your eyes making taeil’s heart skip a beat. how could someone be so cute?

“blow it out, quick!” you giggled, watching taeil lean down to blow out the three candles you stuck on the cake and clapping when the flames went out. “what was your wish, birthday boy?”

he pretended to think for a few seconds before speaking up. “i’m not telling you.”

“are you scared that it won’t come true?”

“mhm,” taeil nodded, not daring to say anything else.

after you two practically devoured the cake and you put the plate in the dishwasher, you snuggled into taeil’s arms as you two laid in your shared bed. you felt full and your body was screaming for you to go to bed already, but the view of taeil’s face illuminated with the soft moonlight seeping through the curtains was way too beautiful for you to miss out on.

you two stared at each other for a few moments, both stubbornly fighting the tiredness crawling in your heads just to admire each other’s beauty. soon, you buried your face in his chest, feeling way too sleepy to continue staring at your lovely boyfriend.

“moony?” you mumbled in his chest.

“yes, honey?”

“i love you.”

taeil thought back to the wish he made when he blew out the candles. i wish you’ll stay with me forever. the thought and your soft snores brought a smile to his lips and he pressed a kiss on your temple, pulling you closer to him.

“i love you too.”

[10:30PM] — Taeil

Fratboy!taeil always volunteers to be your partner at beer pong because he knows how much you hate beer and he can continuously impress you with his skills, but also hide the fact that he is in love with you. 

You never reject his offer because you know you would never have to drink a drop of it due to Taeil either winning or him drinking both of your guys’ cups, but you also love being by his side, tricking yourself to thinking that this night would be different. 

It was a pattern because by the end of the game, Taeil ends up getting drunk and you having to take care of him. He would then confess his feelings for you and you tell him that you do as well, but he needs to remember when he’s sober. He promises you he will. 

But the next day, like previous times, Taeil pretends that you don’t exist and your heart breaks as you pass one another down the hall.

[12:33 AM] One of your favorite things is Taeils voice , especially his just out of bed voice. Even though diffrent time zones make you miss him more, you get to hear his morning voice every night when he calls you to say goodnight

After the fake sun tattoo from the zoo wore off on the side of Taeils neck, he was annoyed.

"It didn't even last as long as they said it would, I thought it would last a little longer."

As you sit beside him facing him, your fingers trace over the place where the fake glitter tattoo wore off.

"But Taeil haven't you been thinking about and wanting a real tattoo for a while now? What if you got a real run tattoo here?"

He turns to you and smiles and says

"I'll be the sun if you will be my moon. Would you get a moon?"

And that's how you got your first tattoo on your wrist & Taeils his on his neck. He's your sun & you his moon. Taeil is pure sunshine with the beauty of the moon.

[09:35 pm] You’re only 15 minutes into the movie when you feel your boyfriend Taeil ’s body getting heavier against yours. You twist your head and watch him doze off, his cheek pressed against your shoulder and one of his arm draping across your stomach. 

Knowing this would happen, as Taeil never managed to stay awake while watching movies, you lightly shake your head, thinking you shouldn’t have agreed to watch one in the first place. However, as you feel him snuggle up to you more, you can’t help but smile to see your boyfriend looking so sweet and peaceful. 

“I love you,” you whisper, planting a soft kiss on top of his head.

When your cat decides to join you, finding a comfy spot on top of your chest and purring loudly, you smile even wider.

How lucky you are to have such a cute little family of your own.

[02:56AM] - Taeil

[02:56AM]You’re pulled out of your slumber by someone repeatedly tapping your shoulder. A groan leaves your mouth as you slowly try to rub the sleep out of your eyes. “Are you awake?” You hear your boyfriend whisper. “I am now.” It’s quiet for a second and you almost think he is asleep but than he speaks up again. “I’m sorry. I can’t sleep.”

You can hear the guilt in his voice and all your annoyance from being woke up fades away. “That’s okay. Is something bothering you?” You crawl closer to your boyfriend, wrapping your arms around him. “Not really. I guess I’m just stressed about work.” You nod understandingly.

“Do you wanna talk about it?” Taeil shakes his head. “That’s okay. We don’t have to, just know that you can if you want to.” You can feel Taeil nodding his head. “How about I make us something warm to drink? It will probably help you feel more sleepy.” A small smile spreads on Taeil’s lips, feeling grateful to have you. “That sounds nice.”
