he would walk you to the ones you have apart
you were the manager for the soccer team so you could spend more time with him (you dirty dog)
you’d make him lunch every once and awhile and eat by the field (Rin wanted to play soccer as soon as he finished while your friends came over to talk with you )
you’d go over his house and watch tv, movies, documentaries- anything
but over a long weekend something changed
and when he returned from school he almost shrugged you off

I can see the relationship changing almost drastically

Hyperventilating. Where are you - why weren't you here? You were late. you were never late. It was your wedding day and yet 5 minutes have passed since the music started. He looks to his groomsmen; trey and cater, who were too busy in a silent argument.
Ace was supposed to get you, hand you off to your father, and join Deuce as your ‘groom of honor’ ( you insisted it was them and not some 'grossest' noblewoman)
But yet, you were late.
The Shrill of a seagull was heard as he glanced to the dock. Eyes gravitating towards the closed harbor. Like a fishbowl. The harbor was surrounded by beautiful cliffside meadows where you and Riddle would frolic to.
he almost smiles as he sees the color of the pansies and wildflowers in bloom. he couldn't help but reminisce about the time he found you. There in the apple tree, munching on a golden delicious as he demanded you to come down from there. Of course, you said 'no.' And claimed that you owned the tree.
And just like today, only a few ships are sailing in the harbor. A few chosen Heartsbyual and Pomefiore ships were allowed to sail.
His head slowly fell to the small audience. His mother deemed it only nectary to have a small venue to officiate it. Then put on a big show for your people.
Oh right- his mother.
He couldn't help but tense up as he met his mother's eye. The woman gestured to him to ‘smile’. Her example was more hypocritical than helpful as the scrunch on her brow and the painfully fake smile on her lips made her seem rather cynical.
But it was no use. The whispers were getting louder and the glances were getting harsher. Trey mumbled about how you were probably just nervous. That you would walk through that door and down that aisle any second now, a smile on your face and love in your eyes.
But nothing happened.

No Ace beckoning Crewel or his mother

Only hushed silence was heard as the piano player stopped, and the flower girl and ring bearer joined their parents.
You had both talked about this. Both told each other about your worries about the wedding and about the future that seems closer than it is further. But he couldn't help wonder- Had you lied to him?
A hand met his shoulder. Trey’s comforting smile did nothing for his nerves as he told him he would go see if you were okay with Cater.
“No” Riddle whispered, eyeing his mother who was in a heated conversation with Crewel. “That would prove that something is wrong. And nothing is wrong” he could feel his teeth start to clench and his cheeks start to heat up.
But a quick few taps to his back had him taking deep breaths in, and deep breaths out.
Riddle’s mom stood up, giving Riddle a sideways glance as she muttered something to Crewel as she made her way to the door of the large balcony that was overseeing the cliffside, and by extension- the sea.
Riddle couldn't help but stare at the sea. Trey asked Cater if Crewel had allowed trade today due to the wedding. ‘No’ Riddle thought, a churning feeling spreading throughout his gut as the ship went towards the apple pass. Both where you met and Riddle proposed.
“Your highness! Admiral Rosehearts!” The doors flung open with a slam. Ace Trapolla, your ‘man of honor’ bent over panting. Eyes flickering anywhere and everywhere. His suit was both sullied and wet. And so was the carpet as he dripped like a dog who just took a bath.
Riddle stepped down, eyeing Ace as they both held stern eye contact as Ace stomped towards him, ignoring his mother's questions.
“Y/n has been kidnapped!”
Ace gasped at the feeling of Riddle’s hands tightening around his. Trey Deuce and Cater’s collective gasps covered up the cowards as Riddle’s mother banished them from the ceremony. Not to even think about what happened when outside the palace.
“What?” Crewel raised from his front pew, loafers thundering as Riddle ran towards the banister, watching the ship disappear from the view in between the cliffs.
“Ace what the fuck do you mean my child’s been kidnapped? Where were you! Why didn’t you help them!”
“I couldn't your highness! I wasn't ab-“
“I save you from death all those years ago and- and this- this is how you repay me Trappolla?” Crewel was screaming with anger. Grip getting ever so tighter on Ace’s ruined tux as a seam or two cried in agony.
“Who.” Riddle asks. Deep down already knew the answer as his back still faced the group. White paint chipped from his fingertips as his face blew up like a tomato’s.

“A pirate!” Ace was thrown from Crewel’s grasp. Stumbling off to look at Riddle.
Crewel’s gasp could be heard. A heartbroken no slipped from his lips as his knees buckled, Deuce catching him as his cane wobbled from the unbalanced weight.

“Leona Kingscholar! His men-”
Riddle’s hand shot out, silencing the young guard as Trey and Cater consoled the frazzled Ace. His mind and body separated as he kept mumbling obscenities.
Slamming his hand on the railing, nails forming indents on his palm as Trey swore the whole dock below them could hear Riddle's grinding teeth.
Riddle roared, pushing away from the banister as Trey and Cater followed quickly behind him. “When I get my hands on him- it’ll be off his head!”

The darkening clouds and restless sea were no problem for pirate lord Leona Kingscholar. He could steer his ship through a squall with his eyes closed.
The raging seas and tempests were what he lived for, what he craved for. As it spiced up his and the crew's experience. The latter later going ashore and bragging about how they were in the jaws of the leviathan, or a foot in Davy Jones's locker. But kicked and clashed their way out. As well as confirming how hardcore they were.
Especially as they were in the Octavinelle seas. Crawling- well treading with sea monsters that escaped the depths of hell and infested themselves in the sea of the damned.
Albeit Leona saw nothing wrong with it. He’s killed his fair share of sharks and sirens. Not afraid to shoot at a looming shadow that seemed to follow stalk his crew.
But again- these were the Octavinelle seas. Where up was down, and back was forth and ahead they were entering the elephant's graveyard to escape those pesky navy men.

A shipwreck hotspot that got its nickname years ago when a smuggling ship was carrying a couple of elephants. During the night, a baby worth a hefty penny had wandered too close to the railing. Losing its footing from the rocking of the boat. And fell.
Of course, the others went overboard too. There to save the young one, but ultimately meeting their fates at the hands of the abyss as their anger and betrayal brought down every ship that managed to sail in their graveyard.
But Leona didn’t believe in any of that.
The elephants were dead and their spirits had moved on. That’s it. End of story. Like most spirits who died at sea, they were collected, had their judgment day, and moved on. Reuniting at the pearly gates and all that other bullshit.
so once the weather started to pick up, bringing his hat from his chest. He went to work.
Leona would never, ever back down from a fight he couldn't win. But this one. He'd rather avoid it overall.
but the wind laughed crudely as it blew his sails in the wrong direction.

The whistling winds started to sing, started to belt as the waves grew sadistic. Kissing the crew like a jealous lover as she pulled unlucky crewmen back with them.
His grip tightened at the helm. Eyes squinting from the spraying water, and teeth clenching from the sheer amount of effort it took to steer the ship around the eye of the storm.
Though he never crossed paths with Ashengrooto. A few close calls were all he remembered. He's heard rumors about the Monstro. How it plowed the eye of squalls. Letting the ocean rip and tear apart ships before swooping in like vultures and picking the scraps.
Scraps, men on the brink of death- same thing different story. He wasn't planning on handing his men over to that slimy captain and working hundred years- and for what? Delayed judgment? He laughs every time he thinks about it. If you didn't like what you did on the seas then you shouldn't have done it at all.
Or at least have pride in what you did. Like Leona
“Jack” he called. His yell was swept away by the wind as the latter was too busy securing the riggings and helping Ruggie bark orders in Leona’s steed.
He couldn't let go of the helm, the winds as even a slip up would mean uncertain doom.
“Jack” he roared, catching the wolf's attention as water crashed from the sea and onto the deck.
He was seeing less and less of his crew and he didn't like that. Nor did he like the shadow of an ocean-scarred ship in the distance.
He gripped the helm tighter.
A crack of lightning struck the waves next to him. Just as an idea struck him. Spinning the helm aggressively to the left, he remembers what he told grim- you.
"That in a squall, no one would hear you. No one would care if you were thrown around like a rag doll since you were 'safely' below deck. Away from the harsh seas.
Though the flooding water always seemed to be a problem for Ruggie. Now for Leona as knee-deep water was perfect for a few stowaways

There was a vile, slimy taste in his mouth. A shiver racked up his spine. Not just from the tormenting waves that sprayed him causing his clothes to cling to his bones.
It was all too perfect. The rougher than usual storm, the constant sprays from the sea, the flinging of crewmates.
That blasted ship.
And that god-forsaken dream.
Azul Ashengrotto had something to do with this. Whether it was him wanting his crewmates for his own, something else, or both. All he knew was that there was more to this attack than he was led to believe.
And he didn't like that.
Thunder crackled through the sky, and another streak of lightning was seen. That’s twice now. In the same spot on his right.
“Capt’n! Capt’n!” Jack came barreling up from the brig. Hat and bandana were long gone as he would undoubtedly catch a cold when this was done. A nasty one was his whole body was drenched. His shirt and pants were a part of him now as scratches decorated his chest.
His eyes lost and brows furrowed as he ran up the stairs and to the stern where Leona was.
“They’re gone. The water was deeper than usual- up to my thighs as they had bite marks in them!”
Leona sucked his breath in. Not focusing on the news too much as he spun the helm quickly, avoiding another crashing wave.

Imagine summoning the archons to your palace or smthn. Well to them it's your palace, but to you, it's some hidden cut screen you accidentally found off-stream when grinding.
It was somewhere in the ocean. Having stolen a boat from Inazuma and joyriding it, you searched for an ‘ almighty anemoculus ‘ that would give you 10 from each nation and some primos. As some anon viewer had told you.
You were first going to see if it was there. Curiosity killed the cat as you struggled to sail.
The ocean was fighting you, almost telling you to not enter and turn back.
But you loved a challenge :)
Kept trying to dial your friends on call to ‘Get on, I need my emotional support dog.’
That you didn’t even notice the path of shimmers that led you deeper in the ocean.
You checked your map quickly. Wasn’t even a second that you had your eyes off the boat that your screen changed into the loading screen.
Glitching a bit as it logged you out. You froze. Confused as your friend picked up, annoyed that you were even calling them.
“…Holy shit”
You filled them in as you ran downstairs to get something to eat. Breathless as you stormed back up, with the handful of snacks you managed to grab.
You had both turned on facetime as you propped your phone up so they could see.
“Well, go on” they urged, moving around.
Pressing the door. You were met with the same loading screen as always. But something was different.
You didn't spawn in the ocean or Teyvat. No. You were in a palace. Pristine marble columns that were cut into various shapes made you wonder who the hell made them.
And why they were still working for mihoyo
The colors of celestia matched the drapes thrown across the grand hall as a mosaic of colors danced across the marble in front of you.
It was illuminated by the stained windows that held depictions of a pair of hands holding a floating island. A cloaked figure with arms to the sky holding each element.
And a cat…
“Hey, doesn’t that look like Malaya?” You joked, laughing a bit as the calico cat slithered her way into your room and onto your lap.
Stroking her gently as you saw traveler make their way down to the giant throne. One befitting a god as Paimon narrated your thoughts.
Then, to you and your friend's surprise. The archons were there. All 7 of them bowing before the throne... Well, you guessed, as the remaining 4 had white cloaks over their heads so you couldn’t see who they were just yet.
Yeah don't think you skipped the part of bowing- why would the archons bow?
“Ah traveler, I see you finally came to celeste. Welcome.”
Zhongli greeted, standing up as he walked to your side while the other familiar two kept down.
“You must be a little confused as to why you are here. Though do not worry, it is not a time of war, but a joyous occasion as we are about to finally reunite with their majesty”
“Majesty? Just who is this person? Making the archons bow at their feet like peasants ?” Paimon questioned, adding about how uncharacteristic it was for Venti to not run up to them in greeting.
“I shall warn you only once. Do not talk ill of the creator.” Zhongli snipped, eyes glowing as it cut to a shot of only his eyes narrowing, you couldn’t deny the great detail that mihoyo went through.
The knit-in his brow and the change in his eyes are all too realistic.
Your friend whistled as you changed your screen to face you
“Oh my god, oh my god please tell me you’re recording this please tell me you're recording this!”
“I am! I am! Oh my god just hurry up you’re ruining it! Oh to be the creator and have Zhongli threaten Paimon for talking ill of me” your friend moaned, you agreeing with them as you joked about him eating her with Osmanthus wine for saying you smelt like ‘poo poo.’
You both cackled as you continued.
Paimon hid behind travel as Zhongli kept staring.
“Odd, shouldn’t there be some kind of dialogue option?”
“Yeah, that’s so weird….” Your friend trailed off, you clicking the screen again as Zhongli started talking again.
“Moving onto your questions as to why you're here. I mentioned before about our creator, yes?”
Silence
“Well, we are here to finally meet them. As the archons themselves weren’t given the privilege to even dare enter Celeste again when the creator told us to go to descend to Teyvat.
We, of course, their humble servant followed their will, breaking it not even once. When the archon war raged on, we remained absolute in their will.”
He turned to the throne.
“We were, however, told by their greatness themselves, that if they were to ever go to a certain part of the world. The sea. connecting all of the nations. That is when we shall meet again.
And meet we shall as the world shook and sky awoke as a golden stone cracked and showed me the inside of Celeste.
To which I knew that our creator was summoning us with their external will.”
You had blanked. Zhongli’s serene expression facing you… or traveler as he rambled on and on about this creator.
“Maybe it's the woman at the beginning of the game. The one that people think is Paimon?”
Though you didn't pay attention to your friend's theory as you pressed the mouse again to continue.
Paimon asked Zhongli “just who is this creator? I thought the archons created Teyvat through the archon war?”
You giggled as he made a face of disgust towards her.
“Don’t be insolent .” Zhongli spat.
“The creator had made worlds long before Tevyat. In ill faith we…” he trailed off, looking to the side as he clenched his fist.
“Khaenri’ah” you both mumbled as you continued.
“After the war, as I stated once before, we couldn’t visit them. Though they did graciously visit us. Taking one thing we loved and taking our hands to teach us to craft the new Teyvat. A Teyvat in their vision.
They were the one to teach cloud retainer and mountain shaper to sculpt Liyue. The others, I’m not so sure about.”
He finished as dialogue options showed up.
“Omg finally- wait what da’ hell is this?”
There were three options. Two in utter gibberish and one just being silent. No, not hilichurlian gibberish. But what in the cryptic symbols gibberish.
“..How do we know what to say? Quick search it up”
“Already on it” Your friend trailed off. The tapping of her phone fast as you kept staring at the screen.
Two things were going through your head.
‘How he must love his creator more than death itself.’
And
‘He was going a little too far with flatteries’
“There’s nothing. “
You finally turned to the phone, repeating her last word as she confirmed it.
“No one has ever done this quest thing before, damn! Why didn't I think of that? Uh okay do the long o-“
“I’m doing the short one, maybe he’ll talk more if we say nothing”
“I mean whatever, it’s your game” they huffed, feedback on their part as you clicked the first option.
Though nothing happened. No words in the word bar or character movement. Nothing. Just the boxes disappeared.
“I see” Zhongli spoke quietly.
“See what?” You screamed. Irritated as something had just happened without your knowledge.
“Woww, do we really get to meet them? Is that why we’re here?” Paimon gushed animatedly.
“Indeed.”
Then there was a cutscene, animated slightly better than the other cut scenes the game had previously as a bunch of women dressed in white glided out from the wings. Guards entering from the door traveler had just entered from.
Trumpets were ringing through the air as Zhongli made his way back towards the throne, going on one knee again to bow.
The traveler and Paimon stayed put. Not knowing what to do, and when they tried to move a guard glared at them.
“Oh my god, do you see this? We’re going to see this creator person!” You squealed. Not bothered that your friend remained silent as they probably went off to the bathroom, knowing their famously bad timing. You continued.
A cloaked figure stood up this time. From their outline, you could tell that it was a woman of status as she stood proud. Walking towards the travel, she shot him a glance before continuing to walk.
“We archons bring a gift to their majesty creator. One to show how deeply indebted we are to you. How you ‘spire us all treasure your knowledge and very being.
It is a rather special sacrifice, as this is the first time we are truly able to rejoice since the end of the war centuries ago. We hope this pleases you greatly.”
She turned around to bow towards the throne before snapping. A shrill scream shot through the air. Snapping your head to the side of the screen as two guards moved both the traveler and Paimon.
A person being dragged in the almost opposite attire the servants were wearing, a matching bag over their head doing nothing to hide their confused sobs as the two fatui agents gripped their arms so tight that Paimon had visibly gasped.
‘Must've been the Tsairsta that just talked’ you noted.
With Paimon hiding behind the traveler, the perspectives change to behind the guard, where that latter was.
Another cloaked figure stands up; the pyro archon from the flames they held in their hands as they burnt the potato sack. The other cloaked figure freezing them in place with a tsk.
“Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah- Whoa,” you warned yourself as Ei finally stood up, along with the rest of the archons as they circled the person.
They were all unusually… silent- to say the least.
A chill clawed up your spine as you stared nervously at the screen. Surely mihoyo wasn’t planning to actually- your thoughts were cut off as Venti spoke, with an unusual glint in his eye.
“The blood sacrifice for the creator to come will start immediately. The sinner shows no signs of repenting for continuously slandering the great name of the creator. And feigning innocence as they calm to not know the creator.”
His voice boomed.” May you seek no mercy nor kindness from them as you will be the gateway to their summoning.”
“Summoning?” You cried out, pushed your chair away as Malaya jumped off your lap. Scampering out of your room as the door shut behind her.
You couldn't look as each archon did a different attack on the poor ‘sinner.’
Wondering just who in the hell they were as their familiar NPC eyes leaked with water. Snoot dripping down their nose as they tried to break free from the ice.
They were screaming about how they didn't know. How they’ve never even heard of this person.
You saw one of the archons clench their fists. Storming up to the ‘sinner’ as they had set them on fire. Effectively melting the ice as you could just feel the sinister intent through the screen. The pyro archon mumbling about ‘giving them what they want.’
To which the hydro archon trapped them in a bubble to ‘cool them off’, spouting some nonsense about the ‘creator being merciful’ and ‘is guiding them to heal the wretched sinner.’
Only for the Tsaritsa to freeze the bubble. A malicious grin painted upon her face as vines pierced through the ice ‘saving them.’
Your relieved sigh came out strained as the thorns tore and wrapped themselves around their unrecognizable skin.
The person was barely moving at this point. Only leaving three more archons. Ones that now, scared the skin off your back.
Venti had flung the lifeless body in the air, lighting striking once, twice, thrice, as Zhongli's signature rock column smashed them into the ground.
Red trickled out from under it as the archons all stood unblinkingly. Not even phased as the guards and servants immediately went to work to clean up the mess.
“Now you see Paimon and traveler.” Venti beamed happily. “This is what happens to sinners who go against our creator!”, a bit of blood splatter on his face. There was a silence that followed that left your mouth dry.
You didn't know how to react. You couldn't hear anything from your friend's side as you felt your heart in your throat. Your blood ran cold as the archons stared straight ahead at the traveler.
At you.
“We, your humble servants, hope you liked this, your majesty. We made sure to collect from only a sinner as we know you hurt when you see your creations suffer.
We humbly await your arrival in the land of Teyvat as we wish for you to see how we flourished the nations you helped us craft.” Zhongli said. His chest puffed out as they all left the throne room.
You were silent. Now alone in the throne room as you didn't care to notice when the guards and servants left.
When the body moved.
“Paimon… baby- sweetie.” You began. Stroking her hair as her horror-ridden face was shown on screen. You slammed both hands on the desk, effectively toppling over your water bottle.
