Slightly diversifying Talon GraySon with this one

ooc au where dick is taken by the court of owls shortly after he's taken in by bruce, but a long enough time that bruce completely adores this little acrobat who brings so much light into his life

when bruce finally finds him, dick has been broken down so much so that bruce can barely recognise him

like it's the same face, same nose, same hair, but the look in his eyes is haunted and empty

this makes bruce, who'd already been on a downward spiral before dick, and proceeded to spiral more without him, lose faith in gotham

he never wants dick to feel that afraid again, and so he goes against his own morals and takes out the court of owls in its entirety, permanently

it kinda just plays out from there, bruce stops caring about killing people, like he won't go out of his way to purposefully beat them to death, but if he just happens to leave them with broken bones, bleeding in a desolate area welllll

dick does eventually gain some semblance of normalcy again though, mostly thanks to bruce, but any thought of potentially leaving gotham or bruce is wiped out, he's too scared that he'll wake up and find himself back in ice

the duo become even more terrifying and secluded, batman never joins the justice league and dick never meets the teen titans

the two of them are a lot more family focused, and are equally excited to adopt jason when bruce finds him trying to jack his tires

but this causes them to feel all the more betrayed when jason wants to find his original mom, cause like, wdym we're not good enough for you? don't you love this family?

jason dies to the joker and wakes up in a world where bruce and dick genuinely replaced him with another kid with black hair and blue eyes

- - - I think I’ll redraw it or make corrections before going back into doing the line art, I don’t like how it turned out previously. The pallet was a little more based off of the general Talon theme I usually see of yellow and black while the costume is more or less based on the Renegade Ark since I this is also based off of a now closed Roleplay where the Renegade Ark went in a different direction and the story eventually progressed to him joining the Talon after a LOT of character development in a darker direction. - - - Art by @birdieofthenight  - - -

Tim drake had joined with dreams of saving dick grayson, but perhaps it was naive to believe that something like a child's innocence could survive a place like the court of owls.

Basically an au where bruce never adopts dick and he's taken by the court of owls.

Tim finds out when the court extends an invitation to his parents and they accept, bringing him into the fold as well.

He recognises dick the moment he spots him and is horrified at what he's become. He desperately wants to rescue dick, but hes also afraid of what could happen to his parents.

His worries end up being meaningless of course, because the court sentences his parents to death(the reason is up to you).

He goes on to take control of the court of owls, and sentences the ones responsible for his parents death to, well, death.

He could free dick now, but his time in the court has changed him. He's no longer the wide eyed young boy he once was.

After his parents died, all he had was dick, who he'd grown somewhat close to. Dick never favoured him any more than the other owls, but his presence brought tim a sense of comfort.

He eventually stopped seeing dick as his own person, but rather a thing, something belonging to him.

He builds a private gym just for dick, inside is a trapeze surrounded by bleachers, ones you would see in a circus.

He often brings dick there, sitting front row as dick performs. When he's there, he can almost pretend that dick is still a flying grayson, and him a sheltered child.

He'll also sometimes have dick sit with him and just watch movies, or tuck him into bed, or pet his hair.

When he closes his eyes, he can almost pretend that dick cares about him.

He wonders if in another life, they could have been friends, maybe even brothers.

(Dick doesn't really see tim as any different from the other owls, other than the fact that he's the grandmaster.

He does as he's told and nothing more, anything else is tims own delusion)

Now any other Nightwing fans that are LOL players here me out on this

Since Talon is one of my mains, I distinctly thought hey this guy reminds me of someone and realized it was fucking Talon Dick Grayson, who ironically is also Talon. Now I need a crossover or something with those two meeting because I think it would be glorious, Talon meets Talon.
