Rosemary out and about!
i love calling tarantula feet paws. like awwwwww its just a lil web kitty look!!!!! they arent so scary after all!!!!
Hehe new pet~ :3
(spider warning for below cut)
From my observations (correct me if I’m wrong)-
Mammal keepers: this is my pet fluffy, they are soft and like cuddling and being scratched behind the ears. They have 200$ worth of toys and enrichment items and their own room in my house. They sleep in my bed, they eat at my table, I dress them in clothes like a child. They are my best friend. I either got them off the street or paid $14,000 to get them from a specialty breeder.
Invert keepers: this is my pet tarantula Leviticus Throckmorton, they live in a terrarium and we see each other once a week. I’m 70% sure they’re male because of their size but it’s also impossible to fully tell unless they lay eggs. I got them for a cheep $50 from a friend because the breeding population in the US is about 200 individuals and Leviticus has a minor defect on their third left leg that causes no quality of life problems but might be congenital and the breeder didn’t want to risk passing that onto the next generation. I’ve had 7 death scares with them already and each time it’s either been them having a difficult molt or just being too lazy to come out of their burrow for food. I try to live feed them but they are such a coward that I have to pull the legs off of their prey before I put it in their tank or else it will run at them and they will retreat into their burrow for the next few hours. I’ve gotten to hold them a total of 5 times and I love them more than life itself.
Pet people let me know if I’m accurate here.
Please appreciate my tarantula’s tiny stupid mohawk

Hey guys so uhm
last time I talked about owning my own p. metallica it did not really go too well to put it lightly and after indigo's passing it took me a very long time to even perserve her properly because of the emotional toll
I have gotten another p.metallica sling after a lot of contemplating and I decided to wait a bit before posting anything. Frankly this time it is going quite well
Meet Enigma [Or alternatively Sapphire]
She is a bit older than Indigo, being born on january this year. They also arrived quite ch o n k y wich was good for me because I was worried in case I got another thin one what to do if they also refuse food and such
then after a week of being here, they molted! and god I was glad it went well. She ate today [the picture above is one I took a couple minutes ago with her having a crimket in her mouth] and even took 2 small crickets :0
so yea I really hope it will stay this way and that she will stick with us a long time T_T
Lovely girl sitting pretty in their enclosure tonight
