As we started the families with the Comptons, it felt right to end it with his now living descendants, the Bellefleurs.

Eric Northman has got two families, one human and one vampire. What is obvious in both his families is the love and respect they have for one another. Let’s start with Eric’s human family and the facts from the BR discs:
“King Ulfrik and Queen Astrid ruled the Viking island of Öland in 900 AD. King Ulfrik was esteemed Viking warrior and Astrid was considered one of the great beauties of her time. After losing his parents when he was a mere teenager, Eric went on to become a fierce warrior and leader of his men until he was turned into a vampire by Godric.
Eric’s loyalty to Godric was tangible as we saw Eric search for him in season 2. This loyalty is something that we see in Pam for her maker as well. And she’s got a very high opinion of him, saying that “even when Eric was human no one believed he was. He always looked as if he had dropped down from the gods. So why should now be any different?” She says that he saved her and in season 5 we finally see what she is referring to. Then Pam makes Eric a granddad as she turns Tara into a vampire.
As Eric says when releasing Pam, "You are my child. As I was a child of Godric. You were born into greatness. And you're a maker now. Our blood will thrive."
In season 5 we also meet Nora, Eric’s sister, and Eric tells us that “The night he turned you, the night he made us a family, I swore to him that I would always protect you. And tonight he reminded me of that promise.” This loyalty is the reason why Eric stays at the Authority, trying to save Nora before it is too late.
TRUE BLOOD MEME: nine outfits - Eric's grey suit (IX/IX)
I really love Eric's wardrobe, especially the black leather gear but he really looks good in a suit and this grey number is worn in some of my favorite Eric scenes. But the best thing about it is its durability. We see Eric fly off to NOLA and then he is attacked by his queen, but the suit still is free of wrinkles. That's quality for you;D
