Okay I'm doing ONE comparison between TCB and the raws to demonstrate the level of creative licence they're taking in these translations:

TCB:

Loki: How shrewd of you. Their intent wasn't to merely catch me though. They wanted to sweep me under the rug! I've been praying for release ever since. Can you believe it's been six years?

Japanese:

My (somewhat more literal) translation:

Loki: 察しがいい!! だが誰も捕まる事は望まねェし

多分に漏れずおれもそうだ 願わくば解放を望む

6年もここにいるんだぜ!?

Loki: Well deduced! However, no one would wish to be caught. I am no exception. I'm praying and wishing for liberation. I've been here for six years!?

And Google Translate just for the sake of comparison in case y'all would rather trust a machine than a random person on the internet which is fair enough:

^ Obviously some creative licence is called for here. Especially that last sentence definitely sounds better the way TCB worded it and it conveys the same idea. Same for the first sentence. You can definitely make this sound smoother in English and that's more than fair!

Also yes, 解放 means both "release" and "liberation". I just felt like the latter seemed more appropriate in this case, but that's a matter of taste and not a mistake

But where the hell did they get all this extra stuff about sweeping him under the rug? That's just not in the original text at all?? At least from what I can tell! Unless there's some very specific expression here that I don't know about! But I checked pretty carefully!

だが誰も捕まる事は望まねェし = However, since nobody wishes to be caught"

多分に漏れずおれもそうだ = "Without exception, I'm the same" (more or less; 多分に漏れず is a phrase that means something like "like most others" or "without exception")

願わくば解放を望む = I pray, wishing for release/liberation (I'm not familiar with this phrase or how it's used but 願わくば translates to "I pray" according to my dictionary)

I don't see anything here about sweeping Loki under the rug or anything about the intentions of his captors, no matter how carefully I try to read this to see if I'm missing something
