if you like tea rituals or giving tea offerings, then this post is for you! keep in mind, though, DEFINITELY do your research on any of the herbs/plants I've listed here if you've never put them in your body before. there's no harm in making substitutions or omitting certain things for the sake of your own health. i've gone ahead and highlighted some herbs that have potential side effects (although not everything i've highlighted may effect you, and not everything i haven't is for sure safe).
also, all of these teas can be made with one of those little tea strainer balls, or with a good mesh sieve. either way, have some way of removing the mix after it's steeped, because over-steeped tea can get sour. store any leftover tea mix in an airtight container in a cool, dry place
if you need to replace any fresh ingredients with dried, divide the quantity in half. also, some of the floral teas will seem like it's a lot of mix just for one cup, but petals just aren't as strong as leaves/roots/etc.

abridged from "Enchanted Tea Time" by Gail Bussi (a bunch of these recipes I changed to be a little easier to do for the average person, or provided alternatives for a "risky" ingredient)
disclaimer: these are personal associations, and all ingredients must be labeled as culinary/edible. i don't have specific measurements, if you like rose more then put more rose in it. if you like lavender more, then use more lavender, etc etc. measure with your heart and pay attention to what feels the most comforting.
⭐ what you need:
rose petals - love, self-love, comfort
lavender - calmness, gentleness
chamomile - healing
vanilla extract - passion, feelings of the heart
sweetener of your choice - sweetness, softening of anything harsh, friendship
a piece of cake on the side - familial love, close bonds, warmth, joy
⭐ what you need to do:
measure the floral ingredients with what your heart calls for.
mix said floral ingredients, and let them rest together (in a sealed container) for a full day and night.
during the next day, as the first stars begin to appear in the sky, remind yourself of how far you've come and what you've accomplished, as well as what you've healed and are healing from.
choose your favourite cup for your tea and take a moment to hold it, to appreciate it.
begin to brew the tea however you please. once it is done and hot, add your sweetener and vanilla. if you're like me and like to add milk to everything, do so (associations are the same as cake).
sit back in a comfy chair, play some nice music or hum a nice tune. say in your mind, "everything will definitely be alright." then, say it out loud or whisper it/mouth it.
take a bite of the cake, and repeat what you thought and said. say it as many times as you need to.
My spells are pretty loose and rely much more on state of mind, imagination, and intention than specific steps, but here you go! @dinobandaid
1. Brew a pot of lavender tea and let it steep. If you work with a god, this is a wonderful time to insert a small offering to them. My patron is a fae queen so I often sing without a tune in mind, just letting my voice wander through notes wherever it wants to go.
2. Once your tea is ready, pour yourself a cup. Sit cross legged before your altar (if you have one) while holding it and call the elements. Close your eyes and reach down with your energy, burrowing into the earth until you hit bedrock. Imagine yourself suspended within a great ocean, gently cradled by a current’s soft hand. Burst from the sea and into the sky on powerful wings, wind whipping at your shirt. Feel the fire in your heart each time it beats, the warmth in your hands, the wildness in your ability to live - in DARING to live.
3. Add your honey, stirring clockwise three times., stating your intention as you do so. I prefer to say these off the cuff rather than following a pre-written statement. If you would like an example, “let my sleep be dark and deep and full of pleasant dreams” has worked for me in the past.
4. Close your eyes and drink your tea, letting that feeling of reverence overtake you. Some tea spells take me 10 seconds to consume, some take 20 minutes. Your intuition will tell you how long to take and when the spell is over. Sleep spells usually take a bit more time.
5. Complete the rest of your nightly routine and go to bed.
A simple bit of magic you can do each morning as you make a nice cup of tea. A spell to aid in weight loss and regain health.
A cup of green tea prepared how you normally drink it.
(I add dandelion root and chamomile to mine. I just like the taste, but I added the magical properties in case you want to know, Dandelion for wishes and good luck. chamomile for purification, healing, and self love)
Hold your hand over your cup of tea and say
"I charge this tea, brewed from ancient leaves and sacred plants with the power to melt away my excess fat and bring me to a state of optimum health.
So I say it, so mote it be"
Drink your tea. You can repeat with every cup if you wish to.
NB: I discourage the use of this love potion on specific people. Ethics and whatnot
Ingredients:
Strawberries, sliced- Love, attraction
Blueberries- Communication
Rosebuds or rose petals (red or pink is ideal)- Love, blessings
Honey- Love, sweetness
Other Tools:
Tea Kettle
Rose Quartz- Love, attraction
Sigils on sticky notes
Invocations to your deities of choice
Directions:
Cast a circle as you wish, and here invoke your deity’s aid
Slice the strawberries, and place them in an infuser with the rose buds, blueberries, and drizzle with honey while telling each ingredient its purpose
Before switching the stovetop on, chant:
As I drink this crimson tea,
I attract love to me.
As I will, so shall it be
Stick sigils corresponding with your intention on the kettle. The heat generated by the brewing will charge the sigils. Afterwards, you can dispose of them/release them into the universe as you wish
Bring the water in the kettle to a boil and steep until the liquid turns a dull red color
If you want, leave a piece of rose quartz next to the kettle as the tea brews, telling it what you want it to do
When the tea is done, if you add more honey, stir clockwise to manifest the love you wish
I’m sharing one of my most essential brews, because I have only just considered that is may be a great starting potion for baby witches. In my very humble opinion, of course. I shared it with a baby witch a few days ago and realized more people could use this one, because it’s simple, the ingredients are easy to come across, and it’s good for when you’re only just learning to ground yourself, as well as for more experiences witches (I brew this potion still)
Remember: Grounding requires both relaxation AND determination - which is why citrics can nourish your energy enough to accomplish focus and strength.
Ingredients:
orange slices or juice (energy, strength)
lemon slices or juice (cleansing, awareness)
chamomile in any form (peace, relaxation)
mint (psychic sensitivity, clears mind, focus, cleansing)
cardamom (relaxation, clears the mind)
dandelion (psychic abilities)
clove (clears the mind, grounding, protection)
chestnut (grounding, intuition, focusing energy)
If you cannot find clove in any form, make sure you do have chestnut, and vice versa. These are the two main ingredients for grounding work.
Instructions:
Brew chamomile tea, stirring clockwise.
Infuse with orange and lemon for a few minutes. If working with slices, remove them after a while so that they don’t bitter the potion nor take over the whole brew.
Add mint, cardamom and dandelion - slowly, and focusing on the purpose of each ingredient for this potion as you stir clockwise.
Add clove and chestnut last, manifesting your intent as best as you can. Say to yourself as you stir: this brew will ground me. It will give me peace and focus and strength.
Drink it in a quiet environment, sitting on the floor and focusing on the grounding your potion is providing. Breathe calmly, concentrating on your every breath.
Hope this helps you before any spell work or meditation!
This is a tea that my mum used to make for me that I’ve converted into a happiness spell! It’s a very basic recipe, then you can make it your own by changing around the ingredients. I’ve listed some optional suggestions that you could use with different correspondents for different intentions.
As you can see, I added clear quartz crystals and a citrine crystal to charge it further with positivity. Then I stirred a sigil for positivity into the drink with my spoon (I am happy and radiate positivity). Edit: here’s a link on how to make sigils!
What you need:
2 tsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup milk
What to do:
Mix the honey, cinnamon and water together in a mug until combined.
Froth the milk with a milk frothing tool or by whisking/shaking very violently (Optional)
Add the milk
Garnish with cinnamon
Optional:
The ratio of boiling water to milk should bring the drink down to the perfect temperature!
With milk, you can add peppermint to soothe the stomach, chamomile to soothe the throat and encourage sleep, ginger to soothe the throat, or cayenne pepper to clear the sinuses.
Without milk, you can add a bit of lemon to boost the immune system.
You can replace the water with a herbal tea of your choices such as lavender or chamomile.
You can replace the milk with almond milk or any milk of choice.

Here’s the explanation for this spell for fellow baby witches
Spells come in many forms, including drinkable ones! You can call them potions if you like. They involve using herbs/flavours/scents etc with specific correspondents to fulfil a specific intention.
Honey signifies happiness and positivity and expels negativity, depression and anxiety.
Milk has correspondents too! Full cream milk signifies prosperity, nurturing, protection, success. Warm milk eases anxiety and anger. Here’s a list of correspondents for non-dairy milk types by @heximari
Citrine is a crystal that boosts joy and optimism, and clear quartz is used for protection and as an amplifier for other crystals.
Sigils are statements of intent drawn up into a little picture which you can write on your skin, on a paper, or in this case, stir into tea, to make a spell work better.
