#FBF to the last @aftashocksd #rehearsal of the Fall 2022 season (also when we filmed the choreo project vid). Excited & scared for tonight - we’ll get to meet the new directors & get a feel for the type of #choreography we’ll face at next week’s auditions. I’ve gained holiday weight & haven’t danced since December so I’m nervous for sure. I just went through ~4 hours of neuropsych testing for my #postconcussionsyndrome & I had headaches before, during, and after my appointment so I’m mentally drained. Hoped I’d get to nap, but that didn’t happen. It’s #Friday Normally I’d be huffin & puffin sweating like crazy at #dancerehearsals right now. #FBF to the #HappyFeet award I got on the last rehearsal day of last season. @aftashocksd will have new directors this year. I’m nervous about the auditions & the unknowns, but also excited. The last six months have been really difficult and having dance as an outlet, while adding extra physical and mental loads to my life, has been a lifesaver at the same time. Nothing beats the endorphins I get from dance. I survived the #choreoproject whew! We had our final @aftashocksd rehearsal of the year last night. Not sure what the future holds for me - I definitely hope to keep dancing next year, but we’ll have a new director & I’m not sure I’ll pass auditions or if my body will hold up. Today marked @annamommy94 ‘s final class at @cs.trainingacademy The speakers broke right as we were about to do group performances so we made it work & even convinced Anna to do a solo, though we didn’t do the “music” as well as she did.
