REHAB CHRONICLES // 3 week post-op. I'm beginning my exercise rehab with my dream team at @thehealthinstitute. While my shoulder "feels" great, I am still just at the beginning of this process. My back is weak, my scapular mobility is compromised. Today @thehealthpusha @atillikus and @syntaxone put me through a few exercises to work on these things. The simple mobility wall clocks pushed me the hardest today. Pushed me to actual tears. Body work can often elicit emotional responses and today was the first time I'd experienced it through exercise. @thehealthpusha knew I could do more and safely guided me to push myself, but man, those tears wanted me to take the easy way out. TRAIN // Today I did my FMS (Functional Movement Screen) evaluation to assess possible movement/pattern problems as I embark on a conditioning program to prep for the #unitednychalf // FMS assesses movement pattern problems and helps trainers create a balanced conditioning program for better performance results. I completed various movements for upper and lower body to determine potential issues in stability and mobility.
