Is your sight an Angel Sight? What benefits have you found for it as opposed to more traditional sights?

Got it in one, bro - it is indeed an Angel MA-RCZ.  I chose it because I am very particular about the balance of my bow, and every time I’ve leveled up I have only felt more strongly about that.  It’s a heavy sight, something like 9oz, but since it hugs the riser so closely it affects the bow’s balance much less than a traditional sight of any weight.

Basically, I shot a wood riser (a Samick Sage) for a year, and then a bit longer still because my Gillos were backordered to hell and gone.  In that time I discovered that I suck at barebow (but the Gillos were already bought/ordered, so oh well) and added a sight.  The Sage only weighs like two pounds, very light bow, and left to its own devices it shoots very balanced. Slap an SF Axiom sight on it, and suddenly you’re dangling six ounces, magnified by torque, out in front of the bow - it’s off-balance in both axes and it made me NUTS.

So I’m already fussy about balance and then my Gillo G1 absolutely ruined me: bow and limbs, strung, will balance (static) on your fingertip, upright.  Very sensitively balanced bow.  Sensitive and !HEAVY! - I spent 2016 adding weight to the bow bit by bit.  Along the way I discovered that I hate a bow with forward balance - I shot a light longrod for a couple months, and the shoulder fatigue from the torque Sucked and I Hated it.  Thus my current stabilizer rig is a 28″ longrod paired with 15″ V-bars - it’s counterweighted and does not roll off the hand, it only nods on the shot.

tl:dr - Balance.  Keeping the bow’s center of gravity as close to my hand as possible makes it much less tiring for me to shoot.

My black kitty did that. It was annoying at first but I got used to it. So used to it that when she passed I could feel her absence on certain nights.
