Rise References in Magic: The Gathering's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover

I went through all the MTG TMNT Crossover cards looking for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles references so you don't have to!

First off we have two from the Marija Tiurina 9-piece collectors scene:

Cassandra Jones Casey herself and Big Mama, respectively!

Then, we've got more of a concept reference to the Hamato Ninpo, which is typically a Rise exclusive!

On from that we've got more a visual reference to Krangified Raph from the movie

Here's some Lou Jitsu merch which looks pretty darn awesome in this style.

Then we've got ourselves a Jupiter Jim action figure!

And that's all that I found! It's not much, but for rottmnt it seems like a ton.

Check the far right corner! That's Casey Junior's mask from the movie!

We got an incredible eagle eyed find by @necer0s

Who pointed out that the flavor text here is a direct quote to Krang Prime, again from the Rise movie!

@cupkatwarrior9 pointed out that our Gadget Master Donatello is obviously using a Rise tech-bo!

2. what’s your feel-good movie? 

I'm not big on movies so I don’t think I have one (or don’t remember) but I’d rewatch Into The Spiderverse and Kubo anytime

3. favorite feel-good show?

Definitely Moominvalley! Just the opening brings me so much peace

🦋 Do your drawings resemble you?

I feel like most of my drawings have big lips + thick thighs + blatantly nonwhite features so I’d say yes bc those all describe me lol

💐 Do your drawing suit your aesthetics?

Colorwise? Yes. If it’s not bright I don’t care for it.  I’d like my art to be a lot softer in texture though, but that’s probably a brush/program thing...

orpheus: what’s your favorite song or type of music?

my music is ALL over the place but I know that I like things with slower tempos! some of my favorite artists include HER, brockhampton, lil wayne, aj abdullah, bren joy, hozier, ryan beatty, omar apollo, and dominic fike (and i could go ON)

recently I have been listening to summa by peach tree rascals on repeat :p
