A motivational letter from Liá to you all!
I had a TEDx event two weeks ago and I decided it'd be great to share my speech with you too. It's basically about self development but you might think it says a different thing since we're all unique! It's okay!
Please don't forget to write your feedbacks. Any rbs or likes are appreciated too!
There's a saying that newborn babies are fresh new papers and they're capable of learning. This stupid thing sat down in the center of the society and somehow made us all believe and accept that we can not change or develop ourselves if we're older than two years. But, nope. No matter how old you are, no matter how is your lifestyle, everything is in your hands. Now I can hear you asking how are we going to do this and maybe laughing at me for thinking something so innocent. Or some ideas going through your head whispering, leave these things girl go study and get somewhere to earn enough money.
Keeping yourself away from the routines and letting your brain be active through the day is actually so much easier than you think. The things you do like writing or speaking is not something totally controlled by your brain. For example I learned writing when I was five and after a few years my brain just passed it to another organ of my neurological system. I'm not truly using my brain when I am just copying some notes from a paper to another. It's just a reflex that I do automatically. There are billions of examples like driving car, riding bike, walking, blinking... And these are the basic things that we all do through the day. I'm not asking you to ride a bike if you're using a car or skate in the office instead of walking.. You don't have to be so hard on yourself to start major changes in your life.
Your brain gets activated and starts learning when you do something slightly different. You can walk home through a different road than you usually do. When you're leaving the work, your brain will be like "OK get home and sleep that's what you live for..." until you turn the second corner instead of the third. At that point, your brain is going to be shocked, "Omg what is this human doing that's a new ROAD OMG LOOK THERE'S A DOGGIEEE!".. and even though you don't realize it, your mind is going to be refreshed. Changing a street to home is going to activate the brain and open up all your senses so you can seriously enjoy what you basically do. You'll be able to focus on your work better than ever, you'll get more creative about anything and you won't feel so depressed or stressed.
What I'm trying to say is, just do little changes like changing the street to walk by or using the toilet in the fifth floor instead of third... That will activate your brain, your senses will be turned on. And trust me that's the biggest step you can take to develop yourself. Turn your brain on and let it do the magic. But, immediately see a doctor if you seriously hear your brain talking to you in a deep way.
