temari sensei because she’s scary and competent
• first day at the academy she walks in, takes one look at the class, and immediately opens a window like “the airflow in here is unacceptable, how do you all think”
• establishes in under five minutes that she is not the friendly kind of teacher. “you will listen, you will learn, or you will get blown into that wall as a demonstration”
• the students think she’s joking. she is not joking
• her attendance policy is terrifyingly strict. if you’re late she just says “run laps until i forget you annoyed me” (she does not forget easily)
• somehow knows when someone isn’t paying attention without even turning her head. she just flicks her fan slightly and suddenly that kid is VERY focused
• refuses to dumb anything down. “if you can’t keep up, train harder. the battlefield will not simplify itself for you”
• but also explains concepts so clearly that even the struggling students eventually get it and hate how effective she is
• incorporates real-world survival lessons into everything like “this is a basic wind technique and also how you don’t die in a desert storm, you’re welcome”
• the konoha kids are lowkey scared but also brag about being in her class like it’s an elite program
• gives the most brutally honest feedback imaginable—“that was sloppy. again.” “better. still not good.” “are you trying?”
• has zero tolerance for excuses. “i was tired” gets met with “then be tired and competent”
• somehow ends up respected by even the most chaotic students because she never plays favorites and always backs up what she says with actual skill
• other senseis occasionally peek into her class and just see students training at a level that feels slightly illegal for their age
• she assigns practice that sounds simple but is secretly designed to expose every weakness a student has
• when someone finally gets something right she just nods once like “acceptable” and that becomes their proudest moment
• absolutely roasts anyone who underestimates her because she’s “just a teacher now”
• lowkey keeps track of every student’s progress in her head and adjusts training without telling them
• if a student shows real potential she pushes them harder than everyone else and they both fear and crave her approval
• naruto tried to drop by once to say hi and she made him demonstrate a basic technique in front of the class “since you’re the hokage, set an example” and the kids still talk about it
• at the end of the term, every single student is noticeably stronger, more disciplined, and slightly afraid of wind forever
