Temperature sometimes feels like:
Body: I'm so much too warm, do something about it!
Me: *removes blanket, sprays water on body, etc. *
Body: Aaaaaaa I'm so cold! This is so stressful! Aaaaaa!
And then it starts again from the beginning....

I have a request for Aventutine, if you don't mind. It's pretty silly but it popped into my head so I couldn't resist lol.
Can I request Aventutine with a s/o who's really sensitive to temperature? Like they get hot Or cold pretty easily? Imagine he's just trying to cuddle at night cuz he's had a long day and the Reader is just shifting away every single time in their sleep because they feel too warm because of the body heat lol. It's silly but I just wanted to ask :)
Thank you and have a lovely day!
Too Hot to Handle
Summary: After a long, exhausting day of high-stakes strategy and political maneuvering, Aventurine returns home seeking solace in your arms. There’s just one problem: your body temperature sensitivity turns his attempts at nighttime cuddles into a one-sided battle against warmth and wriggling discomfort. As he tries (and fails) to get close, the two of you navigate the fine line between comfort, vulnerability, and intimacy—proving that even the coldest nights have room for a little heat, if you know how to hold it.

Warnings: Light physical contact/Intimacy (non-explicit), Temperature/Body discomfort (mildly sensory, not distressing), Subtle references to past abuse or religious trauma (very light, not detailed).
A/N: This sounds like something I'd do ngl 😭🙏
The room was quiet save for the hum of the temperature regulator—a machine that clearly had its work cut out for it.
dysautonomia + summer time = actually worse than being eaten alive slowly by a family of angry mice
"It's so freezing in here, how do you stand that!" It..feels good.
If i don't feel like I'm in a meat freezer,it's not cold enough.
british summer and autism really do not mix
i was just rudely awoken by The Heat. It is 17° outside and I was sleeping naked (which is not something i usually do, it was a preemptive action in preparation for The Heat) so i have now elected to open the window and eat an ice cream at 2am to regulate
i cannot use a fan because if Noise autism and Temperature autism meat i am afraid they will implode and trigger the heat death of the universe
of course a deafening concert surrounded by 20,000 sweaty people is absolutely no problem
Cold is sharp stabbing needles puncturing every tiny little atom in your body & Hot is a low hum drum throb pulsating through your organs. And both get infinitely worse when you add water :)
it’s supposed to snow tomorrow 😭 (cries in temperature-sensitive chronic pain)
Ideas for sensory dental care
Hang in there! Personal hygiene care IS possible! …you just gotta find what works for you. :)
1. Brush with water (Literally, toothbrush under the faucet and brush brush brush... Something is better than nothing!)
2. Have 1 toothpaste for “deep cleaning” and 1 different toothpaste for “sensory sensitive cleaning” (the frequency for each depends on your personal sensitivities/needs)
- Recommended deep clean toothpaste:
[ something from Sensodyne brand ]
- Recommended sensory toothpaste:
Desert Essence Coconut Mint
(If you hate all flavors of toothpaste, this might be an option. There is some coconut flavor but also tastes like plain flour. Also, ZERO MINT TASTE! WOO!)
Looks like this:
3. Floss with cute Dino tooth picks or with long handle flosser.
If you dislike touching wet floss or just getting hands dirty in general, this long handle flosser is both great and has easy replacement floss heads.
Looks like this:
4. Mouthwash. EVERYONE (neurospicy & neurotypical) should probably use ALCOHOL FREE mouthwash…
But if need something better than alcohol-free mouthwash, there is the Ph-balanced Closys mouthwash Unflavored version.
Tastes as plain as water, ACTUALLY effective in freshening mouth & breath smell, & has alcohol-free plus mint-free version. (Just don’t swallow it. Which is same for all mouthwashes)
Looks like this:
SIDE NOTE: if you are not allergic to coconut… An alternative to buying mouthwash is below.
Doing oil pulling method with Coconut Oil is healthy for your mouth & teeth. (Again, don’t swallow—because oil has picked up and grabbed yucky bacteria in mouth and you don’t want that re-entering body.
But also… don’t spit into sink. Spit out into trash can or toilet, and you’re done.)
Hope this helps someone!
