Temple hall
Whoa, that’s a large hall!
And the second part that surprises me is that there are multiple symbols from different beliefs like the Yin Yang symbols from Taoism separated on two banners and the Holy Spirit statue from Christianity.
There’s also the Delta Rune over the statue and I tend to believe that the people who buit this temple were trying to make a place for praying for all the people no matter what belief they had. But I have to check more to be sure about that.
Templar paladin Pax Phillips escorts New Yorker Alexandra Bishop into Temple Hall for the first time.
Fan art from the game “The Secret World/Secret World Legends”, all done in markers on 9 x 12 Bristol.
Pax belongs to @packetdancer and Alex is mine.

Pillared Temple Hall, c. 1550, India
Throwback Thursday to 1962, a half century after the elements of this pillared temple hall were purchased from temple authorities by a young Philadelphian in Madurai, India. Bring your family to see the new South Asian galleries when they open this fall.
